  1. Burns has been told he can leave I think, along with a few others. That might be part of the reason he's on the bench.
  2. Get a B&Q thread going 'FFS, they're out of MDF board. £20 off Fence panels though so worth a visit. Buzzin when I left the shop. Roll on next Saturday. COYB&Qsssssssssssss' 😁
  3. Watched a re-run of the Hudds game on the Rovers site and agreed about HL. He looks a player. The problem with Dolan is end product - he gets in so many good positions due to his movement but either plays a poor ball, over elaborates on the dribble, or just makes the wrong decision.
  4. Made the right decisions to get us back up i.e. they appointed the right manager etc I clearly wasn't referring to how we got here in the first place.
  5. A bit churlish and dismissive of the work JDT has done in such a short space of time.
  6. Why Tomasson is confident of 'bright future' for Blackburn Rovers | Lancashire Telegraph "I’m enjoying it. The league is great and shows that if you try and do things differently then you have a chance which we are, different to a lot of teams. That’s extremely positive and gives me confidence for the future, a bright future for Rovers.Especially if you look at the development over the last period, which is important for a coach that you can see that development because that was always the plan, but you want to see what you’ve been working so hard on in training on the pitch at the weekend and we’re seeing that. I’m enjoying every minute.” Good to hear JDT is happy and enjoying his time at Rovers. Tonight will be his 50th game in charge - 24 wins from his 49 games in charge so far, with seven draws and 18 defeats. Mowbray started with 24 wins, nine draws and 17 defeats from his first 50 games, but most of those were in League 1. Mowbray started well so just goes to show how well JDT has started in mostly a higher division. I was reading a Hudds forum after the Rovers game. This post stood out. Shows the effect JDT has had on the 1st team in such a short space of time.
  7. As others have said we had Duff, Dunn, Johnson, Taylor come through at a similar time a long time ago. What's happening now though is unprecedented in my time watching Rovers. 7 of the 18 man squad in our last game came through the Academy, and that didn't include the likes of Vale, Phillips, Batty and Buckley. I doubt there's an Academy anyway else in the EFL producing those kinds of numbers.
  8. It will only succeed if we get promoted. Like nearly every other Championship club, we'll continue to lose money hand over fist if we don't. And if we do get promoted the Venksters will have made the right decisions. As for the past, I think Hanlon's Razor covers the Venky years.
  9. A Boro win would be the perfect result
  10. Everyone's having an mini-implosion, except PNE and Luton. Every other play-off contender has won 1 out of the last 5 they've played. Nobbers have won 5 of their last 6. Lets see how the Nobbers do now the pressure is on.
  11. Luton probably only need another point or two. They've probably got enough already. Boro probably need a win and a draw. Realistically only 5th and 6th spots are up for grabs, with 7 teams in the mix, from Millwall down to WBA. With Millwall, PNE and Cov still to play we are in control of our own destiny.
  12. Looks like he's got midges flying round his head.
  13. Unconfirmed reports TK keeps leaving these on JDT's desk.....
  14. There are some squeaky bums out there now - a lot of emotional bargaining taking place as people try to convince themselves that they are prepared for the fall out from not reaching the play-offs again. 😁 'It's all about next season' etc etc Bollocks. This is our chance. There no reason we can't do it. Grow a pair, then strap another pair on. This shit's gonna get messy!
  15. If you think of it only in financial terms then that seems the most plausible scenario. I just think there's a lot more going on than that - a lot of it cultural.
  16. ...which is the only true test of a footballer's ability.
  17. He's never had a consistent run in the team, free from injury. Now he has and he's a revelation. Comparison's with the past are fairly pointless. Hopefully he now stays injury-free and keeps progressing. His ability has never been in doubt.
  18. Without him roaming we wouldn't have scored two at Hudds. Risk v Reward. Unless he was at fault for both goals in the same match then he's in credit at RB. Also, if he played in CM, for example, he would probably have more players round him and less freedom to create. FB's are rarely tightly marked, hence why they are so important these days as creative forces. It seems bizarre to me to move your best player from the position he is playing in.
  19. The milk snatcher?
  20. There's only 1 person upset that I can see?
  21. It's a low bar though, right? Anyhow, Bucko's injured so Whiteman might get a few touches. It'll be good for his confidence.
