Haha, I was at the point were the alcohol was wearing off when we were hanging on..me and my mate got off the train and then got a take out from an offy and got hammered in the grounds of the Uni near Euston. Don't think I had a drink in the ground so it was all getting a bit real towards the end of the match. It helped we were sat behind the goal that was about a mile from the pitch! 🙂

He never really got a chance at Rovers, he was unfit after not having a pre-season and we've continually created fuck for most of this season. Ironically, if we'd had him playing the last couple of months when we've actually started to create a bit more he may have scored the 2 or 3 goals we've needed to make the play-offs.

Good post. I'm a bit confused as to why Pears is being lauded as a safe pair of hands and equally confused as to why he's retaining his place. He doesn't get a glove on much and is easily beaten. So why is TK not back in? My guess, based on not very much, is that JDT doesn't rate TK or Pears and that we'll have a new No1 in goal for next season.

He had one exceptional half season (pre-Christmas 21/22), and one good half season (pre-Christmas 22/23). The rest of the time he's been average at best.

I think keeping JDT, A Wharton, Phillips etc and signing some good quality forwards (even a Marquee signing like BBD once was) and we could get to 10k ST holders. People may buy into it if they think the club is on the cusp of achieving something. It will mean showing ambition in the summer. On the flip-side, I think the amount of games moved for SKY this season may have put a few existing ST holders off. Price will also be a factor. I've got a half-decent job and I've never been more skint!
