  1. 100% uninspiring. The aim has “always been to look at improving” the attack…?! Really? That’s so, so defensive and weak. He can’t fail then, as long as he tries. We all knew it I guess, but there it is, out in the open from the CEO himself (again). There is just no ambition there, and anyone at the club trying end up frustrated and leaving after a while. As hire As, Bs hire Cs, and (in Rovers’ case) Ds hire… unqualified candidates. I just can’t forget Waggott’s leadership principles- the Teflon principle and the swan syndrome. Good stuff. Eustace will likely slide or paddle out of there sooner than later.
  2. ACD is obviously very talented, but is also showing his inexperience losing the ball
  3. If academic excellence is what we’re looking for, Bamford’s our man👍
  4. I think it’s highly unlikely that the Teflon coated swans* of BRFC are picking up on anything. *(remember this little gem, which I believe is now being taught at LSE as part of their course ‘Organisational theory and practice’: https://www.walmsleywilkinson.com/news-and-insights/inspiring-leaders-interviews/inspiring-leaders-steve-waggott-ceo-blackburn-rovers/ )
  5. He’s less confrontational than JDT, but the way he keeps repeating the need for enforcements and now also adding “we were favourites for relegation but look where we are” in pm interviews… we have seen this before, haven’t we..? I.e.: 1. He’s far from sure there will be any good additions to the squad this window. 2. He’s communicating his narrative which highlights to everyone (incl any potential future employers of his) how well he’s done with so few resources available - all very true but which also reflects well on him the day he’s had enough. Eustace is clever, collected, honest and obviously very good at what he’s doing - in complete contrast to the management and owners of the club - so should not expect him to stay for long. The last few post-match interviews are quite revealing I think.
  6. As Rudy just explained, not Venky’s fault - we can’t just go out and spend 40mill because that money will be received in instalments over a few years😇 believe my 4 year old daughter would see through this. That interview likely reflects Rovers owner/management’s intellectual level atm - scary stuff.
  7. One goal threat off - one on…👍🎉
  8. Feel like we’re all stepping back in time - deja vu to both Mowbray’a Rovers and last year’s game against Argyle.
  9. Is Hyam capable of completing ONE header to a teammate? His appearance makes me think back to the interview he did on deadline day when arrived - looked like he didn’t want to be there.
  10. To be fair I may have missed the card as I am a bit of a hot head and was fuming😆but why oh why did he first and foremost focus on Gueye and book him first? Game too big for him yes, and no VAR so like a fish out of water.
  11. Worst ref I’ve seen in a good while. Not just the offside - so many weird/biased calls. He certainly didn’t need to give the yellow to Gueye, and how did he at least not give a yellow to the Burnley player there as well? Seemed to just wait for an excuse to book or give free kicks against us. Shocking.
  12. Rovers are in such a sorry state - and now forced to sell their best player to a club that was in L1 less than 1.5 years ago. Meanwhile, Suhail Shaik boast on his LinkedIn page/CV about “completing the successful acquisition of BRFC”. Aren’t they embarrassed, Suhail and the Venksters? Hundreds of millions down the drain, with nothing to show for, and now again exposed as complete amateurs for the umpteenth time by the dynamic and competent Ipswich owners… useless.
  13. What’s JE saying here? https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24510008.blackburn-rovers-boss-sam-szmodics-transfer-latest/ Challenging the board to keep him?
  14. Who’s the guy next to Gestede? Agent?
  15. Remember - Derby is one of the two weakest teams in the league, with one of the most limited managers… looking like Barca here. we are going down.
  16. 🙈 Waggott aiming for top half finish now, good luck to him. In an alternate universe perhaps with that squad. Beyond mental. More likely to struggle against Paul Warne’s Derby and Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth.
  17. Just a thought/ open question: Will any decent semi-professional goalkeeper be better as well?
  18. There’s been some confusion between all the ‘heads of(f)’ and their new AI transfer tool. Apparently, John Park’s iPhone (Siri) picked up Pears’ practicing his French - repeating ‘excuse my fumbles’ in French to himself at Brockhall. Then one thing led to another, and before they knew it (and with no ‘press submit’ safety valve this year) the guy was signed and paid for with Waggott’s Bitcoin fortune. That’s it for this window. Next on the agenda: Waggott’s bankruptcy petition against the club with his reimbursement claim.
  19. As hire As, Bs hire Cs, Cs hire… Could just as well posted this in the transfer thread🤷‍♂️
  20. If/when we go down, how stupid is Hyam gonna look with his ‘calm down’ gestures to the riverside? Will he do that today as well?
  21. Hyam and Pears doing their utmost here. Hahaha, relegation stuff this. 1-4?
  22. Having seen the replay: Hyam has to take most of the blame, agree, but Pears’ choice, being where he was and with Hyam so close to a Wed player, was less than ideal as well. But realise I’m old fashioned with the safety first at the back thinking😩
  23. Pears, I never want to see that man in our shirt again.
