Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
Bronzed A Donis replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I never go on X. However I went on for 5 minutes yesterday, I saw a Rovers 'fan' stoic something or other telling people nobody's ever bid for us and we aren't a club people would buy. I nearly broke my phone. With fans like that who needs enemies. Up there with "nothing special about Blackburn Rovers". Wouldn't even accept that people may have bid as it wasn't in public domain. I was a bit naive to the scale of Venkys euphoria on social media. -

Filing for Admin at Sheffield Wednesday. Like many football clubs, it has been trading at a significant loss for many years, with those losses historically funded by the owner. Mr Chansiri is no longer willing to provide that financial support. "While the recent fan boycott has not directly caused the insolvency, it has increased financial pressure on the club. As a result, the owner has chosen to place the club into administration. -

Sky Sports News - Complicit in our downfall. The whole football world poured their unethical , toxic, dark soul into our club like parasites they are. Which IMO is why selling up won't happen. -

I'm worried we're playing "well" and hard done by in almost every game except Charlton. Yet we have 7 points. Losing becomes a habit when your 1-0 down in your head and the oppositions before kick off. -

We're too easy to find a way to beat, soft underbelly, too many if onlys, going one way this season. -
I remember reading the story of Herbie Arthur in the snowstorm game against Burnley when I was about 6 and it captured my imagination. To date it's still one of my favourite stories. For those that aren't aware, I've included it below. "Burnley was the scene on December 12th, 1891, of an incident with which Arthur's name will ever be associated. Sir Charles Clegg, now the president of the Football Association, was the referee, and in a blinding snowstorm Burnley led at half-time by three goals. The second half had not been long in progress when two players, between whom there had been earlier friction, squared up again. Both men received marching orders. The whole of the Rovers team, with the exception of Arthur, followed to the dressing-room, and could not be persuaded to return. Thereupon, Mr. Clegg, as he then was, directed Burnley to recommence the game―with 'Herby' Arthur against ten men. In this predicament the goalkeeper successfully claimed for offside, and rallied so long in taking the free kick that the referee applied the closure."

We should refer to it as a half back and go full retro. Apart from Number 1 and number 9, until Carragher, Neville and all the other double pivot bros started using it. I had never in my life, playing or watching heard fans or fellow players use numbers to describe positions. Adams, Baresi and Moore want their number back ! What position does number 14 play?! Anyway England do what we always doz cruise through qualifying against teams that would struggle.innthe championship. We've as much a chance as anyone at the world cup. Southgate nearly did it and he was a nice bloke but tactically limited. If Tuchel can avoid falling out with people beforehand there's every chance.

Season Tickets 2025/26
Bronzed A Donis replied to JHRover's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Flexi tickets are a good idea in principle, this isnt thought through. Why not just £150 (anniversary) pick any 9 games ? Works out same as a full season ticket per game at the £16.50 they touted. At this rate 9 games would be £26 and this gets more expensive the less you can make, which kind of undermines the flexibility aspect, doesn't seem great value for the upfront investment. -
The only reason some people thought Adam was casual or wasteful was because he was streets ahead in terms of knowing where the ball should go and players should be compared to his teammates. I sometimes wonder if some scouts wouldn't commit to him because they didn't recognise that.

I can only think Palace have asked for him not to be selected for these friendlies.

Total bollocks. I know people, as many on this board will, who were there when we were spanked 7-1 at Shrewsbury in the 70s , been stood in snowstorm away at Halifax who now don't go because morally they feel such a disconnect between the club and themselves and cannot feel complicit in supporting it (not saying those who do are btw, its individual, plenty are anti regime who attend) So keep your patronising comments, it's nothing to do with the quality of football for majority. We're all Rovers fans, if you choose to go, fine totally understand it and sometimes I wish I still was, but don't make stupid conclusions. We lost thousands of fans in 1960/61 who'd been going years too, suppose they were just fickle? -

Blackburn Rovers have paid a heavy price for their parent club's decision not to bid for a place in the Super League. The subsequent loss of key players led to such a weakening of the team that they have been relegated from the Premier League after four years in what was the top level of the women's game. Rovers' fate was sealed in the final match of the Premier League season on Sunday with a goalless draw at Barnet. This consigned them to the Northern Division 12 months after they finished seventh in the table, above Birmingham City and Bristol Academy, both of whom are now playing in the WSL. The Blackburn club secretary, Gemma Donnelly, said: "It was very disappointing that we weren't able to bid for a WSL place after being involved right through the consultation process but the [men's] club felt they could not offer us the financial support required in a league that wasn't a proven entity. The above is from 2011. Quite some going to get both mens and womens teams relegated within 12 months. On the above the same happened again as this summer, the players were told not to worry, all given dossiers and the presentations etc and at 11th hour it was kaboshed. Everything we needed to know about this ownership that trickles through to the mens team eventually which is why everyone should care about how the womens team are treated. For context Burnley Women were in the 6th or 7th tier, Rovers were in the Prem and THE women's club in Lancashire and one of lesding teams in the North West of England, alongside Everton. The mens teams, as we know. Rovers were in the Prem averaging 25k , Burnley championship 14k average. These bustards care not 1 bit about our club. What we are witnessing is shameful.
