  1. To keep within FFP rules.... "In the English Championship, certain costs at football clubs are excluded from Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) calculations, including those related to youth development, women's football, community projects, and infrastructure. This allows clubs to invest in these areas without impacting their overall financial compliance with PSR." I'm anticipating this will be the clubs angle (I know you're reading) It's bigger than the women's team, it's about how our owners treat the club and some fans will climb over themselves to support this. "None so blind as those who will not see"
  2. However the spin this and try the divide and conquer. Whichever way up they pitch it, it boils down to owners don't want to put a penny into the club they don't have to. Pretty low, to say those bloody women , if we weren't throwing money away on them we'd be all over the transfer market, like a Gestede looking for a move.
  3. Does the phrase, cost of everything, value of nothing mean anything to you? Your ilk who shrug your shoulders further erode the community standing of Blackburn Rovers and the role it plays in local football. It's about wanting to do the best, if we were owned by well meaning but skint owners you could make an argument. How do you defend an ownership that has billionaires thay are chomping at the bit to invest if it wasn't for that pesky FFP? What is stopping them from at least doing bare minimum? The money won't go into the mens team. These are people with hopes, dreams, bills to pay, life decisions to make who represented our club and our town. Being strung along and treated like this. Have you no pride in what a football club should be or how it's perceived? If they aren't prepared to invest when they have an open goal for a relative pittance , walk away and let's get owners in who want us to be the best we can be.
  4. Everything gets worse under these twats. They pulled the plug in funding when they first came in too. How anyone can't see the bullshit from our Billionaire owners stooges I don't know. We've ceased to be a club , we're an Indian brats forgotten toy , now played with by a set of self serving talentless losers. First the Women and then the mens team, follow the playbook.
  5. Blooding youngsters is great, IF they can step up even selling our most promising is a reality for us (although flogging as quick as we can to pay the bills is a terrible model) How can anyone be comfortable with this: "That affects the value of the asset and we want to go back to that model. That was part of the discussions with Valerien. They have to be part of your squad planning" Whether you've supported Rovers for 60 years or 60 minutes we shouldn't be happy at prioritising becoming a B team or Lancashire Crewe at the expensive of success which clearly Eustace refused to do, while we sat 5th.... It's about flogging off the silver so Venkys can wean off , not to reinvest and build a team, Bristol City have spent 18 million last 2 years based on the Scott money. That's a model and used to be our model pre 2010, not what we are doing now.
  6. Pretty sure the intention is to carry on in the Championship next year. I think there is a minimum yearly wage that players have to be paid though in line with new tv deal, it wouldn't surprise me if the do a U turn and choke on then idea of doing that.
  7. In a parallel universe Eustace is celebrating a promotion powered by Wharton and Szmodics performances , Wharton is expected to join City for £50 million with a loan back to Rovers for the upcoming Prem campaign, the ambition to keep hold of them paid off and the money and hope is flowing back into the club.....
  8. Can't fault the players today. Plenty of Labore , no Arte. Toth at least a positive from this last half dozen games, excellent anticipation today.
  9. Sticks in the throat that 2 teams in any other season without a total dross bottom 3 would be looking over their shoulders seriously at Championship football next year , will be looking at Champions League and a european trophy. The global behemoth of the Premier League total distorting our own pyramid and across Europe. I really just wish both clubs got what they deserve from this year, relegated and nowt.
  10. I'd imagine discontent + sky deal makes it tricky to justify the cost and disruption to life and plans. The lack of 3pm Saturdays is unprecedented.
  11. It might have been taken out of context. It might be they are seizing on the results to push PR to change narratives. Nowhere in the whole article does he say how or what hes doing for lapsed fans, that's quite telling considering the accusation. Irrespective, it's too difficult to reengage with lapsed fans, kids are the low hanging fruit is very much reflective of our easy option always being taken. He's been in charge of engagement for a while now and whilst he should be applauded on the Ewood Express and attempts to get kids in. I've seen no attempts to re-engage with lapsed fans and after a few years actions speak louder than a defence of a possible misquote. It would have been nice for him to say, we realise we've lost around 10k fans and my priority is to get these people back AND grow new supporters. But you know, that would involve his paymasters actively wanting this.
  12. I'm a natural pessimist when it comes to Rovers , but this weekend, I think everything will conspire in our favour. It's been one of those seasons.
  13. Ill try and stomach the video but if I cant, did he clarify his comment to WATR about having no interest in bringing back fans we've lost?
  14. Thanks for the link. I liked when you asked "where is the money going" with what appeared to be a large dose of cynicism. Nearly threw my phone at 48 minutes though. I see the new narrative at play we still think it's 1995....
  15. Did I read on here the maximum we can get now is another £4 million? Madness on a player that could go for £80-100 million. We should have insisted at least 20% on any future sale of over x amount.
  16. ChatGPT redrafting positive ways to say we're embrassed by season ticket sales?
  17. Lancs saved by the rain... saved by a last wicket partnership last week too. What Benkenstein is still doing there I don't know. Too many youngsters.
  18. I actually think they won't be as bad as we all hope. They don't concede many or many chances and that's a better starting point than their pep light approach last time.
  19. Poor appointment based on sentiment. Must have taken a lot out of him too. Sacked from 2 clubs who were decisive and not happy to settle for mediocrity. I shook his hand back in 2018, looked him in the eye and said thanks for putting some pride back into the club, but his time a manager was already waning. I bet he's wishing he hadn't told Mrs Desai to calm down on all that spending now and actually signed that striker we "didn't need". May have been a Premier League manager again a few years back. Imaginary sliding doors. I hope he gets a decent retirement and stays in good health.
  20. Yes. BRFCS should of course be a platform for all views on Rovers. Throwing support behind a movement that wants our club to be run better is a no brainer. Whether you see the world through blue and white specs and would happily attend Ewood if you were only one there or more pessimistic, I don't see how any Rovers fan, anywhere at all, wouldn't want supporters to have a voice in trying to improve things.
  21. Imagine that....what is this reinvesting you speak of !?
  22. Like the win at Millwall on the last day a few years ago.
  23. I'll have whatever they had at half time against Sheff Wednesday. Pity we are run by contemptuous individuals as this isn't a dislikeable side
  24. 3-2 Rovers is my feel. Neither side look like they can stop or defend a cross.
  25. We are staying up, say we are staying up!!
