  1. Can you quote it please? Must have missed it
  2. I take your point but it’s also about the present and future. If some of the names on there are around for much longer, there won’t be a future for Blackburn Rovers
  3. I think it’s the easiest category. There are only a handful of names on there who have made a positive impact
  4. So are you saying it wasn’t even a foul?
  5. Intent doesn’t come into it. If a player is tripped it’s a foul
  6. With respect Rev I think you’re a bit off track there. The discussion was about whether Hedges was “stupid” to make the challenge. Some think he was and some of us disagree. I don’t think anyone would say we don’t have a duty to defend any free kick awarded whether it’s a correct decision or not. I do agree with your last sentence though
  7. I thought the referee was very good yesterday and, following the standards he had set, would not have judged that to be a foul. Once the linesman had unnecessarily flagged the referee had little option but to award it
  8. Not sure what Todd Cantwell has to do with a discussion about Ryan Hedges
  9. That’s exactly what he was doing. I refer you to arbitro’s post above and he refereed on the league for teens of years
  10. What was stupid about Hedges? All I saw was a terrible decision from a linesman
  11. It was nowhere near offside but how the linesman saw that as a foul I’ll never know
  12. They will be able to take their pick of where they want to sit
  13. I don’t attend night games at this time of year but watched on Sky. The half time stats showed we won 27 aerial challenges against 70 won by QPR.
  14. Overhauling anything is supposed to make it better
  15. I think it’s more to do with the fact that contracted players can only be signed in the transfer windows nowadays. Back in 1993, David Batty signed on October 26 and played on October 30. Colin Hendry, if I recall correctly made his debut on the day he signed.
  16. Absolutely disgusting about the finest English footballer of my nearly 90 years lifetime, and a perfect gentleman to boot
  17. Excellent podcast with plenty of insight, the only disappointment was after about 22 minutes Jabob stated as a fact that an all white shirt was our first colours. He was not challenged on this, despite there being no evidence to support it, and more to suggest otherwise
  18. It would be a hell of a throw from the subs bench
  19. I have been supporting Rovers since the1946/47 season and every football annual of that time described the colours as blue and white quarters. The Ewood top attendance was also listed as 61,783, that has since become 62,522 for some reason
  20. Just a couple of points. I believe Fred Else was from the Wigan area rather than Barrow. The front row of the top picture should read Wharton. Graham, Bell, Higgins, Crossan
  21. Was about to post the same. Bill Fox once said, at a shareholders annual meeting, that there is evidence to show that Rovers home shirt has never been anything other than blue and white quarters. Sadly the quarters bit no longer applies
  22. In the same bracket as S K imo
