  1. There’s a bloke called Pears available for a bargain £20m
  2. Your dad knows what he’s talking about
  3. Didn’t we once play in Spain in the 70’s, in an end of season thank you trip for the players? If memory serves me right, we played a team of waiters, so the club could legally claim tax relief on the cost
  4. One thing that particularly impressed me, was the way we regularly regained possession without flying into tackles
  5. If they knew their history they would realise that Darwen FC were once the Dingles of the day
  6. Then you’ll remember the boos which went around Ewood as well
  7. The problem there is that it was not our marketing people who were inspired to do this. It was allegedly a request from Everton to benefit them, which Rovers readily went along with
  8. I’m with RevidgeBlue on this. Who can forget the pride we all had when Tony Parkes dished out the proper Rovers shirts for the presentation at Wembley in 1992
  9. Nothing to stop Everton playing in last seasons away kit. Mind we still wouldn’t be playing in a proper Rovers shirt if we played in this seasons home kit
  10. Fine him for agreeing with the truth that the club has already been brought into disrepute by the hierarchy?
  11. You always used to post that you only had fun bets on Rovers
  12. No! He might have signed if the offer was what Dolan saw as his worth
  13. Or it COULD just go to show that the offer was on a par with his worth
  14. Ronnie Clayton had played more than 30 games for Rovers before he was 18. Including an FA Cup semi final and replay
  15. The orange and cream are just a nod to the Darwen bus livery
  16. Chaddy In your reply to the above post, you very conveniently deleted the question at the end of the quote and chose not to address it.
  17. Chaddy The death of Jota and his brother at such a young age was a tragedy, that is beyond question. It is unimaginable how their mother must be feeling right now. However, there are on average five to six road deaths, and many more life changing injuries, on UK roads alone every single day. The fact is, these deaths have no impact whatsoever on any aspect of everyday life, except for the family and friends of those involved. Why should Jota be any different?
  18. An old map of the town centre would be handy to clear it up
  19. As I posted earlier, I understand it to be where the Nat West Bank is now
