His value is at least an average championship wage going off the number of games hes now played and reflecting his age and future sell on potential. Why can't they do with Batth what they did with him ? Give him the contract and get another good year out of him whilst buying enough time to find or bring through a natural younger replacement. Then in the second year his role might be reduced but he's great back up and on the training ground/dressing room. Why would Derby and a manager as good as Eustace offer him 2 ? This club has a self inflicted no more than a year for over 30's policy and it's just another in a long line of stupid policies.
