  1. I nearly got signed by Bacup Borough back in the mid 1960’s. It was a strange experience.
  2. In the world of backwards and sideways passing that is modern football a player that can actually pick out forward passes is worth their weight in gold. No doubt we’ll get a handful of magic beans when Palace sell him on to a big club.
  3. I’ve defended Gally in the past but as the seasons have gone by he’s just got worse and worse. He’s supposed to be our No1 striker and when did he last look like scoring a goal ?
  4. I thought he did ok after a very shaky first 10 minutes. Has he been seen since ?
  5. We won’t be spending anything, the transfer money is already ear marked for paying the wages and keeping the lights on. I don’t even bother to look at the “ Summer Transfer “ thread on the site. It’s a pointless exercise.
  6. He’s not good enough for this league and if we were to drop down he’s too expensive for that league. Plus he’s injury prone. I’d let him go.
  7. Where would you play him then ? For me he’s had more than enough chances to shine and this season he’s hardly contributed.
  8. I doesn’t matter who’s in charge. If we don’t spend we’ll struggle - and we won’t spend. You don’t have to have a massive IQ to work that one out. If I read in tomorrow’s paper that they’d tapped Klopp up and got him to change his mind and come to Rovers I’d stifle a yawn. He’d do nothing at Ewood under these clowns.
  9. Teams like Sheff Wed had done nothing at that point. They’d hardly won a game. They’ve picked up a lot since then.
  10. Bacup - the land time forget. It’s still 1963 there.
  11. What exactly does that mean ? It’s just a word salad. Who’s going to hold them to account ? What does that account look like ? Who’s going to do it ? You, Me, the government ? They’re untouchable and they know it. A real government would have tackled these type of football club owners years ago but they don’t give a bollocks either.
  12. I’m not having that Jim. If we’d have held onto the lad until Summer we’d have got much more. Not only that but we wouldn’t have been staring down the barrel of the relegation gun next Saturday. When he walked out of the door at least 50% of our creativity went with him.
  13. I’ve never had a season ticket. It never made sense as I couldn’t get to enough games to make it viable. If it wasn’t for my grandson and my desire to pass on the Rovers baton I’d be boycotting myself. I only go infrequently these days and even then I only go to keep him going.
  14. I agree. Nothing will change until there is a total boycott. That is obvious.
  15. A once in a generation player at clubs like Rovers.
  16. “ Player of the match “ according to the BBC football site tonight.
  17. Nearly as bad as my rugby league club that once signed a guy with one leg ! They went to scout a guy in deepest Wales only to approach his twin brother in the club house after the game. They offered him a signing on fee without knowing he’d lost the bottom half of his leg when he was in the army !
  18. It’s a wonder to me that we get the attendance numbers we do. Blackburn must be a town of masochists.
  19. If we do go down selling him will be the reason why.
  20. 1 point from 2 eminently winnable home games isn’t good enough.
