It’s like being Prime Minister. It’s the biggest arse kicking job in the world but 100’s of MP’s would jump at the chance. Not everybody on the planet is dealing with a full deck.

We should be flush with the Wharton money. -

You’ve been playing centre half in lads football and all of a sudden you’re pitch forked into a really tough physical league. You’re going to be running on your tongue in the last 20, 25 minutes.. Plus, like Litherland, you’re expected to play wing back, probably the most up and back running you’ve ever done. Three good lads there that should be first teams before too long. -
Not all the money they’re putting in is theirs. What happened to the Wharton money, the Sammi money, the Raya money ?

What I don’t get is the people coming on here criticising those fans who boycotted today, and with the next breath defending the owners who’ve had their own boycott going on for the last decade or so.

As long as everybody in football thinks the club isn’t for sale there won’t be any prospective buyers. The fact that the Chicken Chokerd have knocked back previous approaches will be well known in football circles.

I can’t understand Cashin playing at left back if that is what we are intending to do. Either or Ribeiro or Pickering would be a better bet. Maybe it’s true that we have to pay a fine if he doesn’t play ! -

I can’t see how he can’t be off with the number of left sided “ defenders “ we have. That’s if we can find a buyer or a club to loan him to. -
I was just reading that Rochdale have just received a grant of £250,000 towards the pitch that they have renewed over the last couple of months. No chance of us being smart enough to do stuff like that.

Maybe they didn’t know that at Macclesfield.

They’ve had a boycott of their own for the last ten years.

That’s why they were playing in the “ lesser leagues “. -
It makes no difference to me. I won’t be going on Saturday.

Did he say why Alebiosu won’t be playing ? I noticed in the Nigeria 3rd place game the lad who’s the 1st choice right back got injured after about 70 minutes but they didn’t bring Alebiosu on. -

People still talk about the Plymouth game 50 years later. The atmosphere was tremendous that day. The place was jumping. It was all end to end stuff, not like today’s sideways and backwards play. Two good teams going at it hammer and tongs. ‘‘Twas good to be young “ back then. -

Hickman did score two goals that day but he’d signed a few weeks earlier . He’d had 1 game as sub and then the game before the Plymouth game when he made his full debut against Bury away in a 2-1 win for Rovers. He scored his first goal in that game. I remember seeing Andy Burgin at Halifax before he signed for Rovers. He’d played against my second team , Rochdale, quite often and being a full back myself he always impressed me. The ‘Dale had a really good right winger at the time. When he felt like it he was devastating, but Andy always kept him relatively quiet. I knew we’d signed a good ‘un when he came to Rovers. -

Maybe they’ve hoping to off load Pickering and they don’t want him getting injured ? -
500 (or so) Words After Swansea City (a)
Tyrone Shoelaces replied to BRFCS.com's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I woke up about 4-30 this morning with Rovers on my mind. Where do we go from here ? If we get relegated again it won’t be like the last time. We won’t come flying back. I fear by the time that the better players are available again it will be too late. I’ve seen us get relegated before when we appeared to be hopeless but at least the board then had the nous to appoint a succession of really good managers to get us out of the mire. Oh for a Ken Furphy, Gordon Lee, Jim Smith, Howard Kendall today. All really imaginative appointments. Even a Bob Saxton or a Don Mackay. The current board is a board in name only. They are clueless. -

Would that concussion have been caused by the elbow he got at the weekend ?
