  1. Something appears to be afoot at the dingledome. And no, it’s not 12”.
  2. Nice to hear Howard’s voice again. What about that pitch ! I’ve played on worse but not many though.
  3. What did Gary Neville say ?
  4. The Jimi Hendrix Experience - The Wind Cries Mary
  5. The problems there are beyond any manager. It’s like Rovers writ large.
  6. “ Bought ?” I think you mean stolen. Make the most of the next season, he’ll be on his way this time next year.
  7. Time to join the throng then. I have a couple of rain top style jackets by “ North Face “ . Not bad quality and not bad price, TKMaxx again. We went down to London for a few days with some friends years ago and as I was transferring my clothes from my suitcase into the wardrobe my mate came in. He said “ Tyrone, you’ve brought more jackets down to London than I’ve actually got in the world ! “ Mrs Shoelaces has me on a strict diet nowadays - “ 1 jacket in, 1 jacket out ! “
  8. She needs a hole in her head.
  9. I gave him the benefit of the doubt regarding the relegation. I thought he did ok to get us promoted with the best squad in the league. I wasn’t best pleased when he racked our cue and let Wigan win the league. However he lost me in the immediate aftermath of promotion when he decided we didn’t need any high profile signings, just a few bodies to help the existing team out. After that I’d no confidence in him ever taking us to the next level. He made more bad signings than good and I was relieved when he left. I would have fired him years before then. Having said that we’ve had worse managers and I wish him well in his return to full health and a return to management. Some things are more important than football. As Klopp once said “ Football is the most important of the least important things in life “.
  10. What about that one against Watford ? That needed some scoring, on hie “ weaker “ foot as well.
  11. I was going to phone the club and recommend you for the DOF role but they probably couldn’t afford to match your wages Chaddy.
  12. I’m not having that Jim, even the dogs in the street know the purchase price was whatever Palace decided to offer us.
  13. Any Trouble - Girls Are Always Right
  14. Sam Cooke - Bring It On Home To Me
  15. It’s the subtlety of the passes. Always just where you want the ball to go with the right amount of pace on the ball. He’s not like a lot of midfield players who just “ lend you the ball” until they can get it back. There’s thought in everything he does, even at speed under pressure, he still gets it right.
  16. That’s what caught my eye when I first saw him play - he makes the game look ridiculously easy. Always the sign of a class act.
  17. What they offered was “ our valuation “.
  18. I been watching Rovers since 1962 and we’ve had some truly great players in that time but not many, if any, have made such an impact at such a young age. His passing ability is outstanding, his vision is second to none. He’ll go on to great things if he can stay fit.
