  1. We’ll cease to exist at some point with this shower in charge anyway.
  2. If he does play the Chicken Chokers will have a few more quid to spirit away. He must be in with a chance now. Nobody else can pick a pass like he does in the current squad. Anybody still thinking £18 million was a good price ?
  3. We’ve no really top notch keepers. The likes of Jim Montgomery, Gordon West, even Peter Bonnetti would have 75 caps today.
  4. They wouldn’t have signed Travis even if they’d have stayed down. He was only an insurance policy.
  5. And we’ll still lose the usual £20 million. Something isn’t right and we all know the reason why.
  6. The biggest stumbling block to us ever winning anything is sat on the bench.
  7. Exactly, that’s why I want him to stay.
  8. A lot of them will have to go anyway. Have you seen the size of their squad ? It reminds me of the story Alan Ball told about the first time he took the City squad for training - “ When they all came running up the hill it was like that scene in the film Zulu ! “
  9. Leonard was out for a long while last season, rumoured to be a back injury. Speaking as a fellow sufferer - avoid players with back injuries. Alan Gilliver, Martin Dahlin anybody ?
  10. I can’t see him staying at Luton either.
  11. There’s talk of Mark Robins going there if Kompany leaves. That would worry me more than Kompany staying.
  12. After Revidge Blue I’m possibly Gally’s biggest critic but we couldn’t sell him in January, much as I would have liked to. We literally had nobody else capable of playing that role unless you count Telly, which nobody at the club seems to. I’d be delighted to sell him/give him away now though.
  13. Mary Wells - You Beat Me To The Punch
  14. There’s speculation Kompany might be on his way to Germany. I hope he stays at the dingledome personally.
  15. Nixon can say what he likes, he’s not paying the wages and he won’t be appointing the successor to Broughton.
  16. The next incoming government should make one of its promises a governing body with real teeth that will oversee the state of English football and do something about the mess it’s in. With special emphasis on the absentee owners of clubs. A sure fire vote winner.
  17. He is now. What he did 5 seasons ago is irrelevant. He didn’t even look like missing chances last season, never mind scoring goals.
  18. Agreed. The time to sign him was several years ago, not now.
  19. Mm, they pay their players but they don’t turn up.
  20. Alan Judge was released early in his career. He was destined for greater things until a badly broken leg put a stop to it.
