  1. Martha And The Vandellas - Nowhere To Run
  2. Or in January on loan.
  3. That’s why he always wanted to play from deep. He had more space so he could afford to miss-trap the ball and still run after it.
  4. Certainly one of our players that has improved his game in his time here. Well done Sami.
  5. Hall And Oates - Private Eyes ( Are Watching You )
  6. I thought he was doing ok, look where they are in the league. However I think Rooney will do well there.
  7. It’s ok with hindsight to criticise the club but the player has all the cards. We did our best in the circumstances in my opinion.
  8. The Fleetwoods - Come Softly To Me
  9. Richard Thompson - 1952 Vincent Black Lightning
  10. It’s the mentality or lack of it more than pure ability that separates the top players from some of those playing at lower levels. How many times have have you watched a cup upset and thought “ That lad’s a good player, he’s been out standing today, should we sign him ? “ Then you might watch him the following week in a league game and he hardly features. That’s because he can only raise his game for big games. The top players can raise their game to top level most of the time.
  11. That’s more like it. I got tired of opponents telling us how well we’ve played after they’ve won.
  12. Yeah, the thought of him bossing 46 games in this division was ludicrous right from the start. Which made the loaning out of Buckley a strange move. Wharton needs bringing along slowly and being played in a position where he can hurt the opposition not Rovers.
  13. Brilliant. There are quite a few guitarists I’d rather listen to. Anybody heard of Lonnie Mack ?
  14. I had a look at Armstrong’s stats - he’s only scored one goal for QPR.
  15. Thanks for that - I always avoid watching bad injuries. Too close to home.
  16. I get your point but it gives us two weeks to get the guys who’ve hardly played more time to get up to speed.
  17. It looked like they’d given up on Ainsworth.
  18. I used to go to games with a pal of mine who was a scout for City back in the day. He’d been an England schoolboy international and signed for Utd before he did his cruciate when he was 18. That was career ending then. So he knew his football. Many a time he’d gone to scout a player and we’d be gone well before the end of the game. Sometimes at half time he’d say “ Come on we’re going, I’ve seen enough “.
  19. Unfortunately the one thing we wanted was an experienced centre forward type striker. Goals change matches. Score first and we’re a different proposition altogether. I suppose that applies to most teams.
  20. And we missed the easiest chance of the game. I thought Dolan took his chances well, he opened his body up nicely to glide the ball to the far side of the goal. Both the first two goals came from us getting up their left hand side and getting their defenders turned around facing their own goal.
  21. Zager And Evans - In The Year 2525
  22. Has their new ‘keeper made a save yet ?
  23. Hill gives us some much needed extra height as well, I’d leave him where he is.
