  1. Junior Hoilett - the new Franz Carr.
  2. Yep, bravery in football comes in different forms. It’s not all about diving into tackles and throwing yourself into heading contests. Being brave enough to show for the ball and accept a pass in tricky situations is top notch. Berkovic hadn’t got a tackle in him but he’d always put himself in the firing line to receive a pass.
  3. Aberdeen have been playing well recently. They beat Rangers at the weekend. He joined them at the wrong time unfortunately.
  4. Elementary full back play. Weigh up which way they really want to go and make sure they don’t. Even the dogs in the street knew which way Benson would want to go. Of course if you’re a one footed full back you’ve made life hard for yourself.
  5. That’s after playing all those minutes recently !
  6. Even when given a penalty to open his account with.
  7. We don’t concede as many now but we’re still easy to play against and pretty predictable in our play.
  8. I see a striker who one of us will have heard of before tonight on loan at Girona from New York City has just scored 4 goals against Real Madrid. Players are out there if you look hard enough.
  9. For a big guy who doesn’t put himself about he gets injured a lot.
  10. I don’t think Venkies are interested full stop.
  11. Chaddy used to bang on about the lad Morris who’s at Luton now.. I always thought he was very hard working but a bit of a blunt instrument. His scoring record previously would back up that opinion. Now he can’t stop scoring, good coaching ?
  12. Until that is addressed we are going nowhere.
  13. Oh well, the sun will still come up tomorrow.
  14. Thomas has been poor also. If you rolled Thomas and Hedges into one you might have a good winger !
  15. I agree with you to a certain extent but the problem is the player holds all the cards. If he wants to leave, he’ll be gone irrespective of what the fans or the club want. That’s why all this talk of a “ project “ is bollocks. You never get the chance to keep players long enough to build a squad. The only alternative for teams in our situation is to build a team of players that aren’t particularly in demand and forge them into an effective match winning unit. That may involve a degree of “ ale house “ football. A bit like what Luton or Millwall have done. If Luton don’t go up this season how many of their players will be up for big money moves ?
  16. Yeah, losing Buckley, Gallagher and Morton recently has come at a real bad time. With having such a small squad it leaves us short of options, especially off the bench. Add to that the sick note that is Ayala, surely vying with Grella as our most injury prone signing ever. And we can’t say we weren’t warned about him, thanks Tony.
  17. I can’t remember now who it was but it was blatant, and pointless.
  18. Jack Scott - What In The World’s Come Over You
  19. He missed the Leicester player kicking out at a Rovers player near the end of that game also.
  20. That just shows how much money these clubs have got to throw around. That would have been a major gamble, the lad could have got a serious injury at any time.
