Bravery comes in several forms out on the pitch. Berkovic wasn’t a tackler but you could give him the ball in any situation and he’d make good use of it. Two players up his backside, he’d still show for the ball. That sort of bravery is sadly lacking in this team.

I’m like you, I didn’t expect a win. However I expected us to make a game of it and I expected us to have more than one shot at goal !

I wouldn’t say that. They were all over us like a rash in that last 30 minutes. I said after the game that if we play like that against the dingles we’ll be hiding behind the sofa. So we did, and we were. If you’re going to try the ” Rope a Dope “ game plan it’s important that you’re actually playing a dope.

That was up there with the Wigan relegation game for me. However at least we tried a bit in that game.

That a Blackburn Rovers team competes in a game should be a given. Win lose or draw, whoever the opposition, that should be a minimum requirement.

If you think that performance yesterday was acceptable what more can I say ? I can’t take one positive from the game other than they only scored 3. Carry on in that vein and we’ll do well to end up in the top half. Play offs ? I don’t think so.

It’s not just one bad performance in isolation though is it ? If it was it wouldn’t be so bad. The last home game against Huddersfield was every bit as bad but we won because they couldn’t finish. We played the last 30 minutes of the game in our last third of the pitch against the bottom of the league at home when we were winning 1-0. I called it out as complete dog shite and got criticised for it. If it’s crap I’ll say so. I don’t go in for this “ Kings new clothes “ malarkey
