  1. He was capable of making really jaw dropping saves. Only the top keepers can pull those off. Then to replace him with Walton was the final insult.
  2. I saw the highlight reel and I liked the way he attacked balls played in. Seems that was all there was to his game and given we don’t play that way he ended up looking like a spare prick at a wedding. My youngest lad who’s watched every minute of every game ( don’t ask how ) says “ Terrible “.
  3. Not often to be honest but what’s that got to do with Hirst ? I’ve seen him play and he’s been a real disappointment.
  4. You can’t complain about any home draw. Not bothered which team it is after seeing Stevenage beat Villa at Villa Park.
  5. Dack managed to disguise the pass until the last second. Class.
  6. Deffo, I wasn’t expecting a win, I thought the best we could hope for was a draw, so it’s all the more enjoyable.
  7. Mason Mount - was he playing today ?
  8. Great result given the side we had out. Good experience for a very young team.
  9. I enjoyed the way we played that day and it was 3 more points nearer promotion. We’ve had plenty to worry about on our own accord these last ten years without being overly concerned about Burnley.
  10. I’m not an expert on Norwich City but it doesn’t look like they aren’t playing their best 11.
  11. Maupay and McNeil were bad signings.
  12. Looks like a 4-2-3-1. I can’t see that team getting much today. I’d take a draw now. I’m losing faith with JDT at a rate of knots.
  13. Every game is important. A banging today and we’re back to square one confidence wise.
  14. Yeah you’re right about Ayala. We need to tell him never to get out of bed, that way he might not get injured.
  15. When you read that we’re going into a pretty important FA Cup game with Jack Vale leading the line it’s pretty obvious where we’re weakest. That’s been the case for months.
  16. I watched that game on Friday night. I got the impression that the players were still playing for him. You could say sacking should only be considered when that ceases to be the case. Having said that do you think that Dyche could do a better job ? Personally I think he could.
  17. Yeah, I never understood the flying of planes with banners over the respective grounds. Nothing is forever in football. Most clubs are only one really bad appointment away from sliding down the league. We did it when we sacked Sam and appointed that no-mark, never was, Kean. Not only that but having nearly relegated the club they kept him on to have another go ! Madness. Notice how I didn’t mention watching Burnley at Spotland in the old Div4.
  18. I still think given the players he had to work with he underachieved.
  19. They’ve never really moved on from sacking Sam. That’s after having spent a large fortune with several managers.
  20. Going back when I played our coach was insistent on any of his players being “ bad losers and good winners “. This was in spite of him being an ex Leeds United player. That meant winning should be enough and any piss taking of your opponents was really frowned upon. That’s stuck with me all my life. Maybe you should think about that. I’ve been around long enough to know that football is circular for most clubs outside the top 5 or 6. You have your days in the sun followed by years in the doldrums. In my time I’ve seen loads of the current good teams playing at my local club, Rochdale, in the old Div 4. Brighton, Brentford, Wolves, Bournemouth, to name just four. When the ‘ Dale had their day in the sun they also played Villa and Fulham in the old Div 3.
  21. Not really Prem news but apparently Roberto Martinez who did not a lot with a golden team with Belgium is in line to manage Portugal. It’s great work if you can get it !
