That a Blackburn Rovers team competes in a game should be a given. Win lose or draw, whoever the opposition, that should be a minimum requirement.

If you think that performance yesterday was acceptable what more can I say ? I can’t take one positive from the game other than they only scored 3. Carry on in that vein and we’ll do well to end up in the top half. Play offs ? I don’t think so.

It’s not just one bad performance in isolation though is it ? If it was it wouldn’t be so bad. The last home game against Huddersfield was every bit as bad but we won because they couldn’t finish. We played the last 30 minutes of the game in our last third of the pitch against the bottom of the league at home when we were winning 1-0. I agree about JDT. He’s gone back to square one as far as I’m concerned after that farce yesterday. If it was a real job he’d be getting his first written warning from me this morning. If things don’t change he’ll be in trouble.

I just think the style of football we play doesn’t suit the players skill set. Just my opinion.

The guy at Rochdale was doing it last season. They got relegated and he got fired. He’s a youth team coach at City now. Maybe it’ll work there. All I know is it’s a lot easier as a forward to dispossess a defender than it is for a defender to play his way out of trouble. You only have to get a foot in, he has to have perfect control of the ball. If they were that good on the ball they wouldn’t be playing centre half.
