  1. We definitely need more options in the attacking midfield role.
  2. I think it’s about height and heading ability in a team with a lot of players who aren’t good headers of the ball.
  3. Sounds like Garlick knew what he was doing to me.
  4. What’s this “ Operation Save Big Dog “ I’ve been reading about in the paper today. Is he in danger of being fired for lying to the board ?
  5. There was an 1/2 hr tribute to Ronnie on bbc4 on Friday night Gav.
  6. I might be inclined to leave Lenihan there and bring Ayala into the back three. I don’t think JRC is ready and the new guy needs to watch a few games to get his head around the refereeing in this country. We need Buckley as a playmaker.
  7. That’s as bad to read as it was to watch. Good job Cardiff were toothless. The stats show were the problem was - only Rothwell out of the front five had a significant score. When all your attacking players have an off day at the same time you’re very lucky to come away with 3 points. Much better performance required against Hull.
  8. There’s only one role for Gally that I can see. Chasing long balls out into the channels and up the middle. He can’t play hold up football in spite of his size. He just hasn’t got it.
  9. Yeah, we had that in a quiz once over. Nobody got the right answer.
  10. That’s why we need another attacking midfield player. Maybe that lad at Peterborough ?
  11. It’s hard to know where to start. I agree with you that the game is broken in the UK. We haven’t the batsmen to play test cricket and we don’t produce spin bowlers any more.
  12. Two Bairstow’s in there Chaddy. I could say he’s so good they named him twice but unfortunately he isn’t.
  13. When you’re that tall your brain is a long way from your feet.
  14. I’ve not seen him play in the flesh but from what I hear he’s more like Buckley mk2. I thought Garrett was supposed to be more like Smallwood.
  15. We are as well off for centre halves at the moment as I can remember in this division. It’s not a position that needs strengthening in my opinion. Not when there are other positions ( attacking midfield ) that could really do with reinforcements.
  16. I agree Jim. It’s got like Rugby League. We just aren’t bringing through the players anymore.
  17. Yes, to quote somebody - “ Blah, Blah, Blah. To quote somebody else “ If you put them all in a big sack and lashed it with a baseball bat you wouldn’t be punishing the innocent.”
  18. It wasn’t disallowed for for the block, it was disallowed for off side apparently. It took them 3 mins plus of searching through VAR to spot that incident. No VAR yesterday.
  19. If they weren’t up for a fight they shouldn’t have gone. A total embarrassment.
  20. Anybody know why both City and Chelsea were playing in blue kits yesterday ?
  21. With Buckley in that withdrawn role it’s more 3-4-1-2. I thought Buckley was starting to read the publicity yesterday. He had one shot from about 25 yards out. It was never on, he had runners up in support and the shot was weak as piss. The keeper just threw his cap on it.
  22. In that system our two wing backs are critical. They’ve got to get forward and make play in our opponents half. Yesterday they barely got over the half way line and nothing came from them.
