Johnson’s giving us another pep talk at 8-00 tonight. I can see changes regarding football being on the agenda. -

I’m afraid Nyambe has got a “ friend for life “ with that hamstring. How long has he been having trouble with it ? I agree we need to find a stand in right back because we’re bound to need one. -
That’s pretty underwhelming news.

I can’t see things being allowed to carry on as normal in the short to medium term. -

Tell them to look in tomorrow’s paper. The score will tell them wether it was offside or not. -

How many times in the recent past have we seen teams come to Ewood and basically just want it more ? They ran further, worked harder, looked more organised and enthusiastic and had a better shape. We had the skill but not the application. It’s great to see the shoe on the other foot at long last. That’s what we had this afternoon and long may it continue. All I ever ask of a Rovers team is that they don’t leave anything out on the pitch. Just give 100%. That’s what these lads are doing. -

Good to see us out-enthusing teams at long last. -

So much for the possession football of last season. We got murdered for possession today but won comfortably. -

I see Clarkson can get on the bench when Davenport can’t. I know who I’d rather have. -

My grandson won’t be too pleased. He’s getting a Rovers shirt with Brererton-Diaz on the back for Xmas. -

Only just. I was playing myself by time Fred Else came along so I was in a better position to judge by then. -

Walton was as bad as I can remember and I go back to Fred Else. -

It’s not just about the goalkeeper. We’ve been poor at defending around the edge of the penalty area for a long while. -
How very predictable it all is.

They’re dead right about that “ Defending against long shots “ though. That’s been a failing for years. -
Yes, training is one thing, in your face football is another.

Reminds me of us selling Fred Pickering.

We won’t really know what Dack is going to be capable of in January.

I could never understand the desire to bring him back to Ewood. The injuries he suffered obviously had a bad effect on him and he was never going to reach the heights he looked capable of when he first played for us. He relied heavily on pace and lightening acceleration, once that was reduced he wasn’t the same player.
