  1. Ryan Giggs was left footed, almost exclusively so.
  2. There are no easy beats this time.
  3. In that case I’m expecting a hard fought and narrow win. We could do with Ayala back for this.
  4. It’ll be a tough game. Make sure they pack the shin pads.
  5. Is the lad as good as Armstrong was at Rovers ? He tore up this division but he’s done next to nothing at Southampton. It’s a big step up and it gets bigger every season.
  6. They’re no mugs this season. Like lots of teams in this league. They’re hard working and physical. The only easy games are the game you make easy. Not many clubs will go there and win. We go there on Saturday, I’d take a 1-1 now.
  7. He put Ossis Ardiles out of the game when he was playing for Rovers.
  8. I wasn’t referring to you matey, I was referring to the Sunderland fan that came on here earlier. I’m sure it does even out over time although their are occasions when you seem to get a run of one bad decision after another. I’ve long since concluded that off side rule is a shambles now and I just take the rough with the smooth.
  9. If it does I won’t being going on our opponents site moaning about it. At this level it’s all part of the game.
  10. What side was the lineman on ? I’ve seen plenty of cock ups when play has been right in front of them by the touchline. You can find yourself too close to the action.
  11. Typical Mowbray team. Huff and puff but they won’t blow your house down.
  12. Look in todays paper Jim. That’ll tell you wether it was a penalty or not. We’ll get decisions like that against us this season, no point fussing either way. The ref didn’t think it was a pen and he’s the only one that matters. This League is wide open. More than it’s ever been in my opinion.
  13. Is this statement correct - “ it is not possible to be off side from a throw in, a corner kick, or a goal kick “ ? I always thought you couldn’t be off side from a ball played backwards - which by definition a corner is if it stays on the pitch.
  14. Yeah Luton like to do some punching.
  15. As a full back you should be able to figure out which way your winger would like to go and make sure he doesn’t. Playing Brittain and Hedges on their “ right “ wings wouldn’t have prevented them doing that.
  16. Re the pen. Down the other end in front of the away fans it would probably have been given. That’s the luck of the draw. I’ve long since given up complaining about decisions. No VAR and you have to take the rough with the smooth.
  17. They’ve probably weighed up Dack’s wages against his current form and decided they’d rather have him off the wage bill. Then they could sign two more decent players in January.
  18. The BBC team has Hedges as RWB and Brittain as LWB . Now that wouldn’t surprise me. Play them on their “ wrong “ wings. It’s the latest fad.
  19. I went to the Oldham game. I remember Bennett getting in on the left wing, rounding the keeper, then hitting the post with an empty goal to aim at. In the first half.
  20. On the bench last Saturday but didn’t come on.
  21. Yes I can’t see a happy ending to this. He leaves in January for a smaller fee and isn’t replaced or he leaves in summer for nothing.
  22. I’m sorry but there are people who were Rovers fans who wouldn’t go if it was free now. That’s the damage that 12 years of the Chicken Chokers have inflicted.
  23. 12 years, of more or less solid, alienation and demoralisation. It’s a wonder we get the gates we do.
  24. They scored two goals yesterday wether they have a striker or not. It’ll probably suit Mowbray because he liked playing with false strikers in the first place. I wouldn’t under estimate Sunderland.
  25. Two suits anybody playing up front. Leading the line on your own is a real thankless task. That’s why the players that can do it go for mega bucks.
