I wonder who’s next for the hot seat ? There’s no real stand out candidates that I can see. -

That’s the problem, individually lots of them are good but he hasn’t created a team. -

He’s made some really strange signings. -

I’d rather have Mowbray to be honest. Appointing Solksjaer in the first place was a really odd decision. -

Anybody else watch the Stockport v Bolton game tonight ? What a fantastic match, Stockport 2-0 down after 5 minutes ended up winning 5-3 after extra time. That’s what I call an FA Cup tie ! -
I’d swap him for Mowbray.

Shows you what a difference a good coach can make. How many of the Scots players would get into the England squad never mind the team.

All I’m going off is he seemed to get chosen for the Motherwell first team on a regular basis. I assumed if he was playing poorly he’d have been dropped. -
The lack of a playmaker was badly shown up in the final against Italy.
-
We’re short of a “ Gazza “ in central midfield. A playmaker who can direct the traffic. With a bit of luck Foden might become that player in time.

I see the England U-21’s lost 3-2 in Georgia. They were losing 3-0 at one point, Ex Rover loaner Harwood-Bellis got on as a sub late in the game.

Yeah Jimmy got to fill his boots against Scotland in that 9-3 dicking a few years ago.

What makes you think Magloire “ struggled badly “ at Motherwell ? -

The other player has to take some responsibility for that. Do players not realise that they’re killing the game ? -

He played against Rovers in the 1960 Cup Final. I remember seeing him take a penalty for England at Wembley. They used have the nets drawn really tight then. He was a big lad and he really gave it the laces. The penalty went in the top corner like a rocket and bounced out just as quick. Two goalies wouldn’t have saved it. The ball ended up by the half way line. They stopped having the nets as tight as a drum after that. Thanks for the memories Ron. -
He’s got a habit of getting unnecessary cards. He needs to have a word with himself.

PLAYER WATCH v Sheffield United

Mm, even Diaz is only on 11. All our defenders have good scores yet we keep very few clean sheets. This isn’t a criticism of Tony’s way of working, I think he’s pretty objective.
