Yeah games we were well in control of then let slip. Southampton away and Norwich away are two that spring immediately to mind. -

We played some great football doing it as well but it was never going to last. He was too confrontational with players. -

Sshh. My Rugby League team were playing at Oldham a while back. The teams came out at halftime and they’d been playing for about five minutes when somebody on our bench noticed that Oldham had an extra player. They’d come out with 14 instead of 13 ! Cue much confusion until they decided who was going off. -

Yeah I know. I’d been playing that day and we all used to jump off the bus in town outside the Radio Rentals TV shop to see the scores coming in on the teleprinter on the TV’s in the window. When it came up Oxford Utd 3- Blackburn Rovers 1 we all said that must be wrong it’ll probably be the other way around. That used to happen from time to time but not this time. A similar shock was when I opened the first paper on my paper round to see - Blackburn Rovers 1- Workington 5 . -

What we can’t afford is to give them a 20 minute start to play themselves in like we did yesterday and on other occasions. Start at a high tempo for once. -

Do we want three at the back essentially marking a lone striker ? We’d be losing out somewhere else on the pitch, probably midfield. -

Nyambe wasn’t in their squad yesterday. -
I’ve got an eye test booked in a couple weeks. Obviously it can’t come quick enough. How your memory plays tricks. I would have put my house on a right foot shot followed by a left foot shot. Maybe he did that in another game. Great finish though, I wasn’t his biggest fan but I must admit he could strike a ball with either foot perfectly.

Pedersen at his best. He banged a right foot shot in from an acute angle and when the rebound came back to him he banged it straight back in left footed. The advantage of being two footed.

I saw him play several times when he was at Rochdale and I liked him. Hard working and quite good on the ball. He’s a bit blunt in front of goal though. -

The lad Rathbone is the son of “ Basil “ Rathbone who played left back for Rovers back in the day. There were rumours that Rovers were looking at him when he was at Rochdale as a possible Travis replacement. -

The game before Kiddo got the black spot from Jack. QPR at home. We’d played terribly and we were losing 1-0 and chasing the game with a couple of minutes to go. They launched a long ball down the LH channel, Christian “ Bloody “ Dailly set off after it with a QPR player bringing up the rear. It was a really greasy pitch and the ball was quite near the touchline. I know time was going by but the only thing to do was put the ball out for a throw. Did he do that ? No, he tried turning blind with the ball. The QPR player just took the ball off him and crossed it to an un-marked striker who slotted it home. 2-0, thanks for coming. Early on in the only bit of skill I can remember Matty had beat two or three QPR players by the sideline, looked up, and put the most perfect floated pass right onto Ashley Ward’s right foot. He was un-marked 6 or 7 yards out and he side footed the pass about halfway up the Darwen End stand. As we were coming off I said to my son, “ One good thing, Kiddo will be gone before we play again “. And he was, .
