I could have watched the game on Boxing Day for free at my sons. I just couldn’t summon up the.heart to make my excuses to my family. At one time I would have risked the wrath of Mrs Shoelaces when we had a house full of visitors. Same goes for tomorrow. I’ve got the lurgy that’s going around at the moment so attending in person isn’t a starter but again I think I could go up to my sons to watch the match. I just can’t bothered. I was going to have my ashes scattered at Ewood when the time comes, I’ve no heart for that now.

When you’re playing up front the one thing you want is service. Ideally balls coming in from the flanks or clever balls threaded through the lines. We don’t have much of either. Nobody would thrive playing up front for us at the moment. l

I’d like to know the stats regarding us conceding really late goals as opposed to scoring really late goals in the last decade. Conceding must out number scoring by about 10 to 1. Always the sign of a lack of spirit within the team.

I’m sick and tired of us signing back up players. When are we going to sign a player who is the first name on the team sheet.

I remember it. Ayala looked like he was playing in quick sand. It was embarrassing. Totally ineffective. Centre halves are only any use up front when you can keep launching the ball onto their heads. Expecting them to play like a normal striker is foolish. Unless they are players as good as Sutton or Warhurst.
