That’s how you effect a change of manager. One out, one in, all within 24 hours. Then we have the Chicken Chokers. -
I suppose a lot depends on what team we put out. I can’t see any of the key players being risked, especially if we’re still in the top six.

All his signings were shit apart from Stephane Henchoz. That takes some doing. I reckon if the criterion of a Rovers manager was “who wasted the most money “ Hodgson would win hands down. Even Kiddo got a couple right. -

That was a good sub to bring on when everybody else has been running around on a very heavy pitch for an hour. -

Howard Kendall’s promotion team won 12 league and cup games 1-0. Just saying. -
Crap draw but eminently winnable.

Attendances: A cause for concern

I agree regarding the 10,000 lost fans, it could be more to be honest. I’d say a good half of those will never come back no matter what. They’ve found other things to do on a Saturday afternoon. You could offer them free admittance and they still wouldn’t come. -
I’m expecting a crap away draw at somewhere like Millwall or Brentford.

Try “ Gaviscon “, it works for me.

There’s no chance we’ll keep him after this coming summer. It’ll be the Armstrong saga all over again. Just my opinion of course. I think we’ll do well to keep him beyond this transfer window to be honest.
-
I agree about Dack, he’s in no position to be asking for a rise. Those of us with long memories remember Rovers being in a similar situation when the club sold Fred Pickering to Everton when we were up near the top of the old First Division and in with a great chance of winning it. Think Brererton x 10. That was the beginning of a long slow slide to eventual relegation. I’m pretty sure that if we were to sell Brererton we’d see the same amount of money to spend from his transfer fee as we did from the Armstrong fee.

Burnley might be going through a rough patch at the moment but I’d still rather stay away from them, especially at the Turf. They’re still a goal better than we are. I always look at it like this - how many of our players would get in their team ? Having said that the gap between the respective teams is narrower that it has been for a long while.

Thanks as usual Tony. That must be our quietest goalkeeping performance ever. It’s easy to see from those stats where our strengths are at the moment. The much derided ( by me as well as others ) 3 centre half system is finally turning out to be a plus and not a minus. -

Back then throw ins were normally taken from where the ball went out. It takes time to shuffle 10 yards up the touch line like they do today. -

Is that guy supposed to be a journalist ? What does it mean exactly ? Does Mowbray want out or does he want to send a message to the chicken chokers to get the cheque book out ? -

Halifax and Chesterfield might be different for you but there was a time when we played them regularly.

He should been seen as Brererton’s stand in my opinion. Playing him anywhere else than up the middle is pointless. Playing him on the wing is just another illustration of Mowbrays bizarre tactical innovations. -

If you think about it the team defending the throw in has a man over. If they mark up properly they should make it almost impossible for the team taking the throw to retain possession.
