Next season - as I said clubs further up the food chain. I’d settle for mid table now. -
The ones that are desperate for a job.

Me too, I’m sick to the pit of my stomach knowing that when we go behind that’s game over, that if any team scores in the last 5 minutes of a game it’ll be our opponents and not us. Sick of when we might have got a 2-0 lead and there’s ten minutes to go mentally accepting a draw because we aren’t good enough to play out a game. We’ve had years of this and nothing has changed.

I agree with you about Hedges playing on the “ wrong “ wing, it isn’t do in him any favours. When I look at him I think “ is he a tricky dribbler - is he a hard running speed merchant, is he a playmaker ? “ I still don’t know, all I see is a guy on the wing that that keeps coming back inside all the time. -

Travis and Buckley are good enough to attract clubs further up the food chain. -
We gave them one of those.

Given the number of players we’ve had missing this season I didn’t know we had a medical staff.

I’m like you, I wasn’t expecting a win today but I was expecting a performance. We got neither. -

I agree, the passing generally was terrible. It was either too hard a pass or too soft a pass, behind the player, too far in front of a player etc. just awful. -

Shows what your wife knows about health issues. She hasn’t increased your insurance policy lately has she ? -
That’s pretty much nailed on.

Well that’s another Saturday night ruined. We were never at it today right from the off. That’s another game you can add to the mile long list of games we’ve gone behind in and never come back from. They gave us Preston away and then racked their collective cues. It was back to the bad old passing around the back, into midfield, and then back to the back four again. The defending reminded me why we went to 5 at the back after the famous Fulham game. Nobody came out of that with more than a 5 apart from maybe Dack who was the one player who looked like he wanted the ball. We were passing it to feet and to players that were stood still, they were passing it into space for players to run onto. That makes a massive difference as we saw. I thought Kaminski wasn’t at his best, one good save but he looked shaky to me. Lenny was off his game today, maybe he can’t work with Hedges. Van Hecke was probably the best of the back four, lucky to stay on given every decent tackle in the game is now a yellow card. Wharton looked like this season as been a game or two too far, it’s been a long season for him after that injury. I think he’ll come good next season. Pickering, again not for me, he’s not a full back in a back four, he’s not a natural defender. Buckley, really quiet, bought his customary booking with a silly lunge, the lad has an attitude problem he needs to lose. Travis tried hard as always, maybe he tried too hard. Rothwell was playing much too deep again. Hedges - no comment, people will think I’m picking on him. I just wish he was a loan player like Poveda. Gally, tried hard but he’s a blunt instrument in games like this. Brererton missed a good chance and then kept running off side. The subs had no effect on the game apart from Dack who at least looked interested. Thoroughly disheartened with everything about Rovers at the moment. They’ll all be out on the piss in Manchester tonight, if I’d have played as badly as that in a big game I’d be lying down in a darkened room ! -

I think I might have had Nyambe on the bench instead of Zefuik. Especially if this is going to be his last home game. I think the lad has earned that. -
It’s like him thinking he could go the whole season playing 5 at the back and none of our opponents would come up with a plan to counter it. Playing a deep lying striker or false centre forward isn’t anything new, Hungary were doing it in the 1950’s, so it was obvious that teams would work that one out as well. We needed a centre forward to use as plan B when plan A wasn’t working. Even Bournemouth have recognised the need for an ale house striker when the football isn’t working.

To be honest what has killed us has been the complete lack of impact the five players brought in during the window have had. No goals and Giles with one assist I think. Souey added to an already strong team with just one player, Berkovic, that was all it needed.

I’m not being clever, I’m just using the benefit of our recent experience under Mowbray. I said at the end of December that we’d no chance of going up automatically and it was 50/50 wether we were still in the play off zone at the end of the season. Even I over estimated our chances.

Yeah, they came from behind in a game. Something we don’t do. -

I think we’ll be fighting relegation anyway unless we can get a really good manager in. -

“ I wouldn’t be surprised if we are dreaming of days like today “. And who’s fault would that be ? He’s had enough time to build a team that would be challenging again next season. A pound to a penny we won’t be.
