  1. That’s as bad to read as it was to watch. Good job Cardiff were toothless. The stats show were the problem was - only Rothwell out of the front five had a significant score. When all your attacking players have an off day at the same time you’re very lucky to come away with 3 points. Much better performance required against Hull.
  2. There’s only one role for Gally that I can see. Chasing long balls out into the channels and up the middle. He can’t play hold up football in spite of his size. He just hasn’t got it.
  3. Yeah, we had that in a quiz once over. Nobody got the right answer.
  4. That’s why we need another attacking midfield player. Maybe that lad at Peterborough ?
  5. It’s hard to know where to start. I agree with you that the game is broken in the UK. We haven’t the batsmen to play test cricket and we don’t produce spin bowlers any more.
  6. Two Bairstow’s in there Chaddy. I could say he’s so good they named him twice but unfortunately he isn’t.
  7. A lot depends on how Dike gets on.
  8. When you’re that tall your brain is a long way from your feet.
  9. I’ve not seen him play in the flesh but from what I hear he’s more like Buckley mk2. I thought Garrett was supposed to be more like Smallwood.
  10. We are as well off for centre halves at the moment as I can remember in this division. It’s not a position that needs strengthening in my opinion. Not when there are other positions ( attacking midfield ) that could really do with reinforcements.
  11. I’m voting for “ nothing will “.
  12. I agree Jim. It’s got like Rugby League. We just aren’t bringing through the players anymore.
  13. Yes, to quote somebody - “ Blah, Blah, Blah. To quote somebody else “ If you put them all in a big sack and lashed it with a baseball bat you wouldn’t be punishing the innocent.”
  14. It wasn’t disallowed for for the block, it was disallowed for off side apparently. It took them 3 mins plus of searching through VAR to spot that incident. No VAR yesterday.
  15. If they weren’t up for a fight they shouldn’t have gone. A total embarrassment.
  16. Anybody know why both City and Chelsea were playing in blue kits yesterday ?
  17. With Buckley in that withdrawn role it’s more 3-4-1-2. I thought Buckley was starting to read the publicity yesterday. He had one shot from about 25 yards out. It was never on, he had runners up in support and the shot was weak as piss. The keeper just threw his cap on it.
  18. In that system our two wing backs are critical. They’ve got to get forward and make play in our opponents half. Yesterday they barely got over the half way line and nothing came from them.
  19. I read they turned down a £ 12 million bid for him from Leeds.
  20. I think teams are working us out and how to play more effectively against some of our players. Yesterday I thought outside of the central core of three centre halves and the keeper we looked tired and lethargic, we were back being second to too many contested balls/headers. Lots of careless, sloppy passing. Putting it in a sentence - when we play well we “ out enthuse “ the opposition. Cardiff “:out enthused “ us on Saturday. To a certain extent we allowed them to bully us. Of course we weren’t helped by the officials in that respect. Brererton came in for some rough treatment and I suspect his reputation as a diver went against him. Reading their site that was possibly their best performance for a long while. When you’re up at the top everybody tries to knock you down, you’ve got to expect that and be ready for it. We’ll need to be a lot better than that at Hull. Play like that again and we’ll probably lose.
  21. Rigger’s post was referring to our technique, or lack of it , at throw ins. If you watch the highlights you’ll see that Cardiff’s best chance came from a cock up at a Rovers throw in when we carelessly lost possession in a dangerous area.
  22. He looked to me like a player who was learning the role today. Just my opinion of course.
  23. Chances are Edun will be playing left back at Hull, I don’t think Sam will be.
