  1. He can’t get us back in a game when we go behind - ever, and he can’t halt a death spiral until it no longer matters. As I said the other day, we’ve been rewarding failure for too long. We get bullied and out enthused most of the time and I’m tired of saying it.
  2. He should be back here having treatment on the injury.
  3. That’s a pretty small side height wise.
  4. There’s a lot of potential at Bradford if he can get it right.
  5. It was a night for the captain to take the ball and blast it through the keeper into the back of the net. It’s as much about temperament as much as it’s about technique.
  6. They need the conditions to be right for ale house , I mean direct, football. One look outside the house last night told me Spurs wouldn’t fancy a night on’t Turf one little bit.
  7. What about playing in our first team ?
  8. We’ve had roughly speaking two good months Gav, other than that - business as usual. In fact from the point of view of scoring goals this is the worst death spiral of the lot.
  9. I’d prefer Buckley Instead of Rothwell and maybe Hedges instead of Dolan.
  10. If anybody thought he might be stopping at Rovers after this Summer, I think they’ll know the answer now.
  11. I like Nyambe a lot as a defender but when your opponents go down to ten men you can’t persist with playing five at the back. Somebody has to go off and logic suggests the players who are least likely to bring you a goal.
  12. I think he plays Gally for his defensive headers. It can’t be for his goal threat. His one strength is running on to balls played in front of him. Teams just play deep and deny him the space nowadays.
  13. It’s not just the defeats - how many goals ? Most of the time we’ve played like drains.
  14. When you’ve got 8 players who rarely if ever get into the last third of the pitch you will have a good defence. You will also find chances and goals thin on the ground. The 3 up front have to be clinical with the few chances that come along and we aren’t
  15. It’s not just relegation form, it’s bottom of the table form.
  16. Waiting for the ball up front will get you nowhere. You’ve got to be proactive.
  17. Given he hadn’t played one first class game it’s not a bad assumption.
  18. Set pieces have been shit since Charlie left.
  19. How do we know that Markanday would have been any better than Dolan, Poveda, Khadra ?
  20. Neither will we unless something changes.
  21. Well done Tony, it’s taken me whilst now to get the courage to read this.
  22. I expected us to drift away from the second spot eventually and I thought we only had a 50/50 chance of staying in the playoff zone. The teams chasing us have better management teams and at the end of the day that’s what counts, everything else being more or less equal. Having said that I’m shocked that our results have fallen off a cliff like they have. I didn’t watch last nights game as I had a prior engagement. I was prepared to give the false number nine game one last throw of the dice but now it’s time for a change. It’s a shame but one of the centre halves will have to go. When you have 8 players that rarely if ever get into the last third of the pitch goals are always going to be thin on the ground. I think it’s time to go 4-3-3 again.
  23. OK, so put a couple of our shorter forwards on the half way line for corners. It’s not like they’re much use as defenders anyway. Bringing everybody back just enables them to crowd the keeper. They’d have to bring two or three players, probably defenders, back to cover our players. Then you’ve got room for your keeper to play his normal game
