  1. If we had all of Travis, Pickering, Cantwell and Ohashi fit and raring to go it would be another story but we haven’t. We need to approach this game like we did with the Leeds game. I wish things were different but we’re struggling for players. The game has come at a really bad time.
  2. Poke’s injured, hamstring I believe. Stewart seems to be permanently injured.
  3. I wouldn’t play Cantwell unless he’s 100% . The game passed Weimann by yesterday. My front four would be JRC, Buckley, Hedges with Dolan up top. Not ideal but Dolan will press them at the back and I think playing behind the striker is Buckley’s best position. It’s not a game for the the kids.
  4. It’s not just about the money, If I was Eustace I’d want to go somewhere were it isn’t a circus. Somewhere that is relatively stable with owners you can actually communicate with and rely on. With the chicken chokers you can rely on them letting you down.
  5. Real owners who take a serious interest in the club wouldn’t need to be told.
  6. The underlying reason = the chicken chokers, and working for them. We’ll never thrive as long as their name is over the door. They probably think they can get another manager just like they can for their chicken sheds back in India.
  7. Mm, he gets chances but how many end up in the back of the net ? At least Rhodes put his chances away most of the time.
  8. You were there and I wasn’t so I respect your opinion. Watching on TV will never give you the full picture of what’s going on out on the pitch . However, would you be happy starting him on Saturday ? I wouldn’t be.
  9. Batth was really pleased to give it to them because in the melee after the penalty was scored one of their players pushed him over from behind. A cowardly thing to do. He did well to control himself, after initially setting off after whoever it was ( Gnonto ? ) he backed off. The goal was the best way to settle scores. “ Pick that out, you tossers “.
  10. There’s a lot of truth in that. We basically have a 6 man defence plus the keeper. So we’re never going to be prolific in front of goal. Football doesn’t work like that. We usually make a couple of really good chances a game. If we take one or two of them all well and good. Regarding Leonard, he’s a penalty box player. If 95% of the time the play is never in there he’s a luxury we can’t afford. It’s like going back to the Rhodes argument. He scored plenty but if he didn’t score we usually lost because off the ball it was like playing with 10.
  11. I’ll bet you a pound to a penny that Gally wouldn’t have got that cross back into play for our goal yesterday. He’d have been on his heels watching it sail out of play.
  12. I didn’t see the Hull game but Millwall played like their lives depended on it.
  13. What did he do Chaddy ? Apart from put our best chance of the game over the bar. The lad isn’t ready. He kept making mistakes and gradually went into his shell. Yesterday what was required was for him to put himself about and run the channels, he couldn’t even do that. I thought that was obvious.
  14. How many penalties did they appeal for yesterday ? As my old team mate used to say - “ If you appeal often enough you’ll get one in the end “.
  15. That’d be like starting with 10. The lad is nowhere near ready for this level. I don’t like saying it but that’s the reality of the situation.
  16. He gets really good protection from the defence. Nobody gets to take pot shots at him anymore. That was a top class save at the end though. Saved us a really good point.
  17. We’re desperate for a striker and a real winger. Defensively we’re good but we don’t make anything like enough clear scoring chances.
  18. He had to bring Leonard off. If he was bringing Gueye on somebody had to go off, we couldn’t have risked playing with two up front in today’s circumstances. The lad could have made a name for himself today but the game was too much for him.
  19. Cue the manager being poached away by a more ambitious club.
  20. Gally would have been stood watching the ball go out of play.
  21. They’ve played us three times recently, twice at Elland Road. They’ve never really looked like scoring in all that time apart from the pen today. Nearly 300 minutes of football. That’s what he needs to be worrying about. I suppose when Rodon plays for Wales they’re never in a “ backs to the wall “ situation.
  22. That’s if Ohashi can overcome his injury. Failing that I’d play Dolan up front before I’d play Leonard there. JRC on the right, Hedges on the left. I’d still rather have Cantwell than Weimann behind the striker. Save Gueye for the second half.
