  1. I can't remember a worse back four. Only one person to blame there.
  2. There are times when he still plays like a midfielder though. He's drawn to the ball too easily for my liking.
  3. He was until he went to Chelsea. Wether he can get back to where he was remains to be seen. He had a lot of good players around him at Leicester, do the dingles have a Mahrez or a Kante ? I believe he's opened a restaurant in Manchester. Good life style choice for a player,
  4. It hurts me more that you will ever know to say that but you have to believe what your eyes are telling you. Dyche knows how to get the absolute maximum out of average players.
  5. I'm still available Phil - Manchester Industrial League Div 1 back in the day.
  6. Even when the players are yours the more successful players can get taken away by the bigger fish. What you need is what the Dingles had, a really successful, coherent, logical way of playing that doesn't rely on too many star players but on a hardworking bunch with a good team ethic and workrate so when you are ultimately successful you can hold on to most of them. At this moment we are a million miles away from that point.
  7. Much as we all rated Reedy was he really what we needed ? Maybe he can play centre half ?
  8. Yes, very good. It's always best to stick to what goes on out on the pitch.
  9. How long will it take for to us come up with a coherent, consistent way of playing ? Why are we still speculating as what is our best formation ?
  10. Nothing is for forever in life, that's especially true in football. When you hit the wall fitness wise you hit the wall and Charlie hit that wall last season.
  11. Sounds like nobody told our lot the deadline had been moved forward. Now that wouldn't surprise me at all.
  12. I think what little bit of faith most people had in Mowbray has just left the stadium. Even the diehards who've backed him so far are busy looking the other way.
  13. Time to restart the relegation thread I think Jim. Over to you.
  14. " High Noon " and " Bad Day At Black Rock " were two of my favourite. " 3-10 to Yuma " excellent also. I never rated " Shane ", " Tell Them Willie Boy Is Here " is a really good Horse Opera.
  15. They'll be on big bucks relatively speaking.
  16. That's been one of my beefs with Mowbray all along. We've only ever looked like a real TEAM on the odd occasion. All this high fiving bollocks and holiday photos on Twitter mean nothing when you've just gone a goal down.
  17. I'm amazed that none of the players that are obviously surplus to requirements aren't being linked with other clubs.
  18. Henning Berg was smart and rarely got into a false position where he could be run at by his winger. He wasn't the quickest though. The least said about Wes Brown's time at Ewood the better although he was a fine player in his heyday.
  19. There aren't many centre backs who are successful at fullback. I can remember Keith Curle being played there for England. He was quick for a centre half but he got turned inside out by a more nimble opponent.
  20. I've seen Hart play once and I thought he was deeply average, I have friends who thought he was decent when he played for Rochdale but where we are now is big step up.
  21. Easier said than done Chaddy. They'll mostly be on better dosh than any potential suitor will be prepared to pay and It's very unlikely that they'll take a pay cut.
  22. Yeah I agree with that. The older you get the more cautious you get. I'm speaking from personal experience here. In lower league football terms Mowbray is an old man.
  23. Mm, well we can live in hope. How long did it take the Chicken Chokers to trash Rovers ? What was that ex player called they appointed when Coyle left ? That was knee jerk reaction if ever I saw one. Having said that their last two appointments have been smart moves.
