  1. When Tronstad is back we could do worse than played Buckley in the Cantwell role.
  2. I agree with you about Sammi, there was no way he was staying once a Premier League club came knocking irrespective of what we could offer him.
  3. I liked what I saw with Litherland previously. As I said to my grandson - a poor man’s Franz Beckenbauer in the making.
  4. I agree with nearly all of that. As I said earlier, yesterday’s meeting was just a PR exercise. He’d already made his mind up to go over the weekend. He knew that the people sat across the desk from him would be unable or unwilling to give him what he was asking for. He made them an offer they were always going to refuse. He’d been at Rovers long enough to know that. I’ve been on the planet long enough to know when I’m being played. Reading between the lines he’d decided to move on in summer and he was just waiting for the right opportunity to come up. That’s why his name was constantly in the frame when vacancies arose. None of the above excuses the chicken chokers and their underlings from most of the blame. Who can work for absentee owners and not lose the plot in the end! Thanks for the Leeds and Leicester games. They’ll live long in the memory.
  5. Rhodes is finished as a player.
  6. I’m not so sure about that. There are ways of making it known you could be interested without putting it on the back page of “ The Sun “.
  7. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was on a good bonus for keeping them up though.
  8. Even the dogs in the street know why the previous managers left. Whoever comes in will know the score, unless he’s from Mars.
  9. I think Big Sam’s ship has sailed.
  10. Or when he got rewarded for keeping us up with a handful of magic beans.
  11. You mean “ wouldn’t. “.
  12. He was gone before yesterdays game.
  13. If the powers that be at the club had any sense they’d have been keeping an eye on the comings and goings in the managerial field. The Eustace saga has been brewing for a while and I suspect they know that. I’m expecting a quick appointment.
  14. I’d like to know how much the use of anti depressants has gone in the Blackburn area in the last 15 years.
  15. I’m disapointed but not surprised. There is no loyalty in modern day football unfortunately.
  16. I saw the Dougie and Ronnie team. I’ll die happy thinking about those days. However I’ll be 76 in March. I was hoping these bastards would be gone before I’m too old to enjoy going down to Ewood again.
  17. The people he met with today haven’t the authority to make those kind of decisions, even if they wanted to. I know that, you know that, and most of all Eustace knows that.
  18. He’ll be in the boot with the radio turned up.
  19. So he stays at Rovers. Cooper comes in at Derby and does a good job. The Derby job is filled for the foreseeable. The job was offered to him now.
  20. One thing about it. Whoever comes in next can’t complain they didn’t know the score.
  21. Given he’d been seriously linked with several other jobs this season it was inevitable that he would leave. I said previously that he wouldn’t be here for the start of next season, I’m just surprised his departure came this soon. It seems likely that whatever relationship he had with the chicken chokers broke down in the close season and his agent has been touting him around even since then. Both sides are just posturing now. I think he was going to Derby come what may. The meeting today was just an PR exercise, he was asking for assurances he knew they wouldn’t/couldn’t give him.
  22. I bet the chicken chokers couldn’t pick Eustace out in a police style line up.
