Who has two passports ? I only know one person and he has two British passports. He says “ If I told you why I’d have to kill you “. -

I’d make it the rule that you can only play for the team your passport says you are a national of. -

Sit the players down and show them the video. That would fire me up. -

A real game of two halves. We looked comfortable in the first half. After half time we looked like we’d racked our cue and so we let Eire back into it. If Sammi had have put that chance away it could have become really interesting. Pickford 6 Nothing to do. TAA 5 Strange player, looked really good at one point, then his game collapsed completely. Carsley needs to think again about this lad, when is James fit again ? Guehi 6 Steady game. Maguire 6 The usual, performance, steady but un-inspiring. Colwill 6 OK but not really a full back Saka 6 Blows hot and cold. Needs to get in the game more. Rice 7 Played well and scored an excellent goal. Mainoo 6 Not in the game enough for me. Turns nicely on the ball though. Grealish 6. Looked good in patches carrying the ball forward. Just doesn’t do it enough, Gordon 6 Looked really dangerous at times but not enough end product. He’s a bit one footed. Kane 5 Looked like an Harry Kane “ Look a. Like “ had won a competition to play up front. Missed a great headed chance. Gibbs-White, Eze, Bowen all did little flashes of football. Gomes looked good to me, immediately upped the tempo. All of them were brought on 15-20 minutes too late. Carsley ? Same as Southgate, the game was going away from us and he reacted way too slowly. -

He’s been awful this half. Not on his own though. We looked really bright in that first half an hour then it was back to walking football. Player A, who’s stood still passes to player B who’s also stood still, Irish player gets a foot in and the move breaks down x100. Back to the drawing board. Shout out to Eddie, that Gomes looked handy. Always on his bike and in a position to receive the ball. Zips it away quickly as well, always to a white shirt. I suspect 15 -20 yards passes are is limit but that’s not to be sneezed at. At least he looked like he wanted to up the tempo. -

Better from England. They’re mixing up the short balls with the long ball. -

I see Carsley is hoping to move away from having two holding central midfield players. Good luck if it works. -

I’m thinking of going to some of those, thanks. -
Grant Hanley strikes again. He always had a rash challenge in him.

So did everybody else. -
And I thought I was bad with my 40 ties, that I never wear these days.
-
I’ve got more ties than enough, honestly. Unfortunately the only one I wear now is the black one ! I probably won’t wear this one but it’s £20 to a good cause. If nobody else takes them let me know, I could probably afford another £20.

I can’t see Pears being dropped in the circumstances. If the Hungarian lad had been back here training with us for the two weeks, maybe. -
I was born in Blackburn but we moved to Rochdale when I was 5. I grew up watching us in the 1960’s and because of that and where we were living the rivalry with us and the Red Rats was alway paramount for me. Most of my pals were Utd fans. Of course for years we very rarely played them but it was great when we did start playing them again, and beating them.
-
If you want to split them up Dee I’ll give you £20 for the third one from the left. The one with the football shirts on. I’ve got about 40 ties in my wardrobe but I haven’t got a Rovers tie.
-
The only stat that matters = 1-1. How many games did we lose when Mowbray was here when we had way more of the ball than the opposition ? Just having the ball is meaningless, it’s what you do with it that counts.

Tracking our (outbound) loan players 24/25
Tyrone Shoelaces replied to BRFC4EVA's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I used to think like that but the game has changed. The minute you get a top player the big clubs come in and snap them up. See Wharton or Sammi. They even take the decent ones like Raya, Kaminski, Hanley etc. You never get the chance to build a team. They’ll let you keep the Nyambe’s, Garrett’s Jack Vale’s. For a team in our position the way out of this league is the Luton way. Mainly seasoned pros playing basic football. We had our chance at footballing our way out of this division with the parachute money and we let a succession of managers blow it. -

I like a player who likes a tackle but I agree, in today’s football you get carded for tackles that wouldn’t even be a foul 25 years ago. The type of injuries has changed has result in my opinion. You hardly ever hear of players suffering a broken leg these days but cruciate injuries happen all the time.
