Shearer in his prime could score from anywhere in the last third. He scored some real thunderbolts in his time. He was jaw droppingly good.

They have some decent players but that didn’t look to me like a “ Premier League Team “ in the making like you could have argued the team we last played was. Lots of good players but no outstanding prospects that look like they could step up anymore. Lots of pretty average championship level players now. If you watch the video of him you could see he’s the sort of player that likes to really get involved. Bags of pace and he’ll be brave on the ball. I was wondering about his temperament in a massive game. He came through with flying colours against what could have been a tricky opponent.
