The only time you see a keeper catch a cross now is when it’s a bad one.

Too big a game. Any other game yes . I’d expect to see JRC switching over there and Brittain at right back. JRC has played there before.

Who knows, he seems to be a bit injury prone.

It’d be nice to see somebody capable of having a pop from outside the box. We seem to be very shot shy in that respect.

Gomes, Gallagher, Manoo, all of a muchness, Wharton is different. -
Yeah, Eustace will know what the team will be now barring Pickering. Even if Pickering is out I’d be surprised if Beck plays. The new guys maybe on the bench.

Yeah, usually to a player with an opponent breathing down his neck. Watch any division at the weekend and count the number of goal scoring opportunities given away by the keeper cocking up a pass.

If you’re looking for a keeper that “ commands his area “ you’ll need a Time Machine first. Set it for about 1975.

The 8 is usually the player not good enough to play as a 10.
