Adrian would be a brilliant signing. I remember him having a few moments of madness for West Ham but we ain't gonna sign the perfect keeper are we on our budget. FoRster was in my eyes Englands #1 at his peak. Bad injuries and some dodgy decisions have sent him downhill a bit in more recent times but sure theres still a quality keeper in there if he gets his confidence up.

I very much doubt it. Preston with losing arguably their best player and only signing Bauer. There are clubs, a lot of them who have done a lot less business than us, at least we haven't lost anyone of note either. IF Mowbray doesn't sign a CB and a keeper by the start of the season he loses pretty much all credibility for me, but hopefully it won't come to that. I point blank refuse to believe he will do a complete U turn on his comments about defenders coming in. If he didn't bring both in hes either A) lost the plot been told he can't because someone is still meddling in transfers and thinks defenders are irrelevant.

Our scouting seems to be mainly at grass roots level now, bring them into the academy and polish them up kinda thing. I don't get why we can't scout more players abroad though, if they put it down to expense that's just ridiculous. You don't have to send people out to watch games live, I watch bloody games worldwide myself from across the world and the club could have someone doing the same.

A real threat on corners too which would be nice. His only real downfall is he can be a bit erratic, suppose he's relatively young still but he would probably benefit playing with a decent experienced keeper behind him.

Speaking of Burnley defenders, what the hell have they done to Ben Gibson, or was he injured a lot last season? I remember him playing in their famous European tour and getting sent off but apart from that not much else. He looked the real deal at Boro. No I don't think we'll sign him, just curious.

It's probably Grahams last season as the main striker I would have thought, factor in he is gonna pick up some knocks inevitably this season too so will definitely need cover. Either Gally or Brereton you'd imagine is being lined up to step into his shoes.

I think you need to read the post properly first of all. I said we don't NEED Gallagher, I didn't say we don't need a striker. We play with 1 striker up top, anyone we bring in is gonna be playing second fiddle to Graham, this season at least. Graham isn't knackered at all, in fact he looks in tip top shape. Its debatable how much more Gallagher offers than all the other crop of strikers to be quite honest too. If bringing him in a) cuts into our budget set aside for a gk/defender b)limits Breretons game time (or even Chapmans if he plays him on the pissing wing) then it's bad business. As I originally stated, leave it till we sort the major priorities I.e keeper and defence then pick up a bargain striker or a loan if need be.

The Gallagher transfer can wait till the last day of the window for me, if at all. We don't NEED him, although he'd be decent backup. Just sort the defence and keeper situation then leave the 'nice to have' transfers till later when prices and demands drop. If we miss out on him so be it.

From what I gather he's been unlucky with injuries which may explain why he's a late starter in terms of securing a decent move. OR We may have signed a crock, but I'm thinking positive.

Oh aye theres no doubt he's had a decent career, it's gone backwards massively though from the euros onwards. Torino, West Ham and that lot down the road shipped goals for fun with him between the pegs.
