  1. Bell is bobbins, Williams at left back is worse I'm afraid. He's decent enough at centre half mind.
  2. If Nyambe has a desire to leave because he was given a rest vs Wycombe to preserve him for what should be a lot tougher test next week, he can bloody leave! He seems to be over the whole must play Bennett issue thankfully (I think).
  3. Nyambe has hamstrings made of play-doh, like many players who have a bit of pace, giving him a day off yesterday turned out very well for us. Don't get me wrong, I was baffled and annoyed when I saw the lineup if I'm honest, sometimes you just have to say yep, you got that one right Mowbray though.
  4. Any semi decent reporter would have asked him to elaborate on the priority position. Lancs live is a real crock of shite
  5. Just put him in a large bin bag with some bricks and I'll throw him in the canal at Eanam with a few lads if he's holding things up
  6. The day The season diedddddd Bye bye mrs Mowbrays pie ??
  7. I'm talking many years ago, like 95, it most certainly a good time!
  8. There are no sources anymore in this circus. I used to get regular info and its long gone. Anything now is half arsed guess work.
  9. People like posting carrot danglers as you did, don't be surprised if you get some stick if it goes tits up, simple.
  10. It does, but they aren't in the pitch with them, you can see time and time again how pissed off he is because someone has defended like a schoolboy. If you think things can't change with better players in place then so be it.
  11. Of course it holds water. Every single goal we concede isn't a direct result of being 'left open at the back'. Of course it can leave you exposed if you aren't organised, but there's been far, far more issues than just that. We haven't even got an organised back line a lot of the time, the defending on set pieces is suspect. Of course he's partly to blame for this, he picks the players and signs new ones (or doesn't in recent seasons). The key to the defence improving like so many things in life, is at least 'fixing the basics'. Hopefully with better personnel in place that will happen but the jury is sat firmly in the waiting room for now ready to cast their verdict. Last roll of the dice for me for Tony, he's had longer than a lot of managers would have been given to sort the defence, in the interest of early season optimism I'm hoping he can nail it this time.
  12. I agree its taken longer than it should (and we still don't know he's got it right yet).
  13. Over 2.5 goals and BTTS is the go to bet usually for us, might be a bit early in the season though.
  14. And if he did, people would moan we're boring. Even with limited ability, the right personnel on the pitch can organise a decent backline. Which for me is the biggest issue. Mowbray can only do so much from the sidelines, you need a keeper who can bark orders and a vocal centre half with experience who can read a game well. Hopefully we've just signed those 2 players but time will tell.
  15. Very confident tomorrow. Historically a banana skin game we often struggle with, however I feel having no fans there could actually help us without the constant moans and groans if we haven't scored a hat full by half time. I fancy Dolan to have a field day along with Armstrong. 4-1 rovers with Dolan, Armo x2 and a rare Nyambe goal for us.
  16. Can only go off what I've seen, but so far JRC's versatility makes him a ten times better Benno replacement, I'd much rather have him as Tony's go to guy to plug a gap.
  17. Well I was thinking earlier and realised barely anything i was doing in March has now returned to a true normal, so it would be incredibly optimistic to think football will for quite some time yet ? Work - still nowhere near normality, haven't been in the office since early March, now told no return expected till January. Pub - ok so this has been bearable for the most part, for now, but still miles from true normality Gym - again bearable, just lots of wiping with alcohol spray etc Even if these pilot games go ok i think the local infection rates would mean we're excluded from admitting fans for some time, I think January would be optimistic sadly now, and even then it's not gonna be the football we knew. All rather depressing when its been part of of lives for so many years.
  18. I hope Tosin does manage a permanent move away from City, sadly won't be within our budget but Pep doesn't seem keen to include him, although City fans I know want him to. Not much else the lad can do after a few impressive loan spells to get his chance. The 8m thats been quoted seems a fair price too in todays market.
  19. Nowt. It wasn't a negative comment towards the club chaddy don't fret.
  20. Wycombe decision will be a further hammer blow to sales. I know quite a few who were leaning towards renewing yesterday, that are now hanging fire......
