  1. No real issue with people posting supposed info tbh, anyone who's been on here numerous years knows who spouts shite and who doesn't. What I find hard to believe though is that we're well on with things and anywhere near to appointing someone. Any fan should know from experience how slow we get literally anything done, from transfer activity to season tickets. I'm actually amazed how soon we've almost sorted pre season friemdlies out, although who knows who invited who, we may have just answered phone calls to accept invites. I bet its tougher to get a prem team in this season now covid ain't rearing it's head as much, they'll all be off on fancy jaunts abroad.
  2. At least it gives us something to talk/speculate about as opposed to constant pages of players we won't sign like we normally have close season..... It's literally just people taking a punt on tit bits of information etc though. If Carvahal came it wouldn't be a mercerman exclusive that's for certain, broken clock right twice a day kinda scenario.....
  3. Mccarthy has won a cup and got a team in the CAF champions league. Whilst I agree he's definitely not the man for the job, don't mention that tosser Orr in the same breath, he's done literally nothing of note in his footballing career.
  4. More than a few people singing have you paid your gas bill yet to the spurs support too back then.....
  5. That's kinda the point Chaddy, people see whispers on social media and odds reflect it. I know someone who mentioned Simon Grayson as a piss take the other night, following morning he was favourite 🤣 Another reason of many that you never see a skint bookie.
  6. A few trash websites reported him as being on the shortlist (that doesn't yet exist) which prompted a few people to bet on it basically. Farke could well be in double digits odds soon as well after being pretty much odds on favourite last week.
  7. All season ticket holders should be entitled to a vote, present the shortlist and let the fans decide.... Actually no we'd definitely have a lot voting for a Mowbray return 😵
  8. Ironically it looks like Sheff Weds was his longest ever spell as a manager too at 2 and a half years. I'd definitely take him but find it a bit odd he only ever seems to stay at teams for 1-2 years, especially when he's managed a grand total of 19 different teams....
  9. People still taking notice on betting odds then 🤣 I despair.
  10. I've noticed a lot more younger lads getting into the away days, which is good to see, combined with the impact of the results going well for a period of the season. Hopefully the decent away followings continue into next season, no reason they can't if we appoint the right manager......
  11. Strictly speaking he's managed Everton for 5 games (1 win, 3 draws and a loss). Obviously it's a bit different just keeping the team ticking over mind
  12. Hughton shouldn't be an option based on the fact he signed Leon Best 😵
  13. Football goes beyond ability on the pitch, I'm convinced he cracked up at half time against Derby and set Mowbray straight, probably backed up by others, he's mates with Dack.
  14. You're going to end up disappointed and wrong if you continue taking any notice of betting odds. If you don't believe me how easy it is to change them, get a few mates to put money on an outsider.
  15. Are people seriously ruling out Farke now because of some shite posted on Lancs Live with absolutely no substance, no sources. Understood from who? Who even reports for them now? Crooke left and all he did was recycle what Sharpe reported in the LET anyway! Honestly people, take some time away from the Internet if you're going to trust 'info' from lancs live and Nixon. Edit: it's Elliott Jackson the reporter, who started reporting on rovers on April 19th after reporting on Grimsby Town. I reckon he will have some really top notch sources in the football world I really do
  16. How the hell would Nicko even know if a meeting had taken place? I'd expect a goodbye meeting to take place anyway unless him and Waggott have well and truly fallen out. Unbelievable that people still lap up what Nixon says really, although perhaps it's just because of a lack of any more reliable news....
  17. What does the tweet actually say? He blocked me ages ago in a petulant rage, suspect its not just me either 🤭
  18. There's a chance both Nyambe and Lenihan were waiting to see which league we were in before committing. They could obviously have demanded more if we were a prem team. If their decisions were based purely on the manager they'd hardly be rushing to commit to a managerless team, unless they know something we don't....
  19. I think Keane would fire overdue rockets up some players backsides as well. I doubt he'd be even remotely interested in working within the Venkys circus though I'm afraid. It'll 100% be someone with a nice bloke persona. Is Woodgate considered squeaky clean enough after his brush with the law and community service stint back in the day? 🤔
  20. I'd take Keane without a doubt, imagine him and Waggott having a heated discussion 🤣
  21. Waggott was quick enough to speak at the prayers on the pitch jobby, something I suspect he had absolutely fuck all to do with organising. Yet he won't speak to the local rag, or indeed anyone about the issues on the minds of lifelong rovers fans. When Mowbray does go, if I was Sharpe I'd be asking for a word, see if he opens up a little bit more when he's no longer a club employee,I suspect he might.....
  22. Bielsa is being linked with jobs on the international scene, I've scene Bolivia and Columbia mentioned in recent weeks. You'd have thought something like that would appeal more to a 66 year old but you never know.
  23. Weird form of attention seeking which as you say he's been at for years. Obviously works on the basis that if he makes enough bullshit up, the law of averages says he will eventually get something right through pure luck. Pretty much like his dire gambling 'tips'.
  24. Di Matteo seems to have various cryptic links. He replaced Paul Ince at MK Don's when we appointed him. He replaced Mowbray at WBA when he left for Celtic. He was replaced by Appleton as caretaker at WBA too. Coincidence or dodgy agents at work? He actually doesn't have too bad a record but certainly wouldn't be first choice. Hasselbaink isn't even worth commenting on really, on the basis Mercer has never got anything right, ever, despite trying ro claim he has info.
