  1. On Dack, has he ever looked like he's a bundle of energy? I would say not, BUT he's an intelligent player and can pick the right passes and pop up in the right place to score, much like he did on Tuesday. It's my main gripe with JDT so far, IMO of course, he isn't past it, nor have his legs given up on him, it's how Dack is and we should be accommodating him in the team. When one of our best players and fans favourite is being left out it means the players in his place need to impress more than ever, if they don't then frustrations will continue to grow.
  2. I'm going off what I was told today by ticket office staff, not sure where else I could confirm to be honest apart from Swag himself 🙁
  3. I'd be giving Travis a 'rest' tomorrow and giving either S Wharton or Ayala the captaincy. As well as not playing particularly well lately, I've not seen much to suggest he was the right choice as captain either. We've got just over a month now to improve performances and get a decent run of form going ahead of the most important game of the season. If the win 1/lose 1 pattern continues we're obviously due a win tomorrow. Not gonna be at all easy though this, I'll go for an optimistic 2-1 win and hope their new manager bounce is a flat one.
  4. Haven't done so yet but inclined to join the 1875 club now..... Got the season ticket and 3 aways boxed off which would normally secure a ticket but I'm guessing it's gonna be those things AND 1875 club to get first dibs. Got folk by the bollocks really here if they don't want to miss out....
  5. He's made 5 appearances, scored on his debut, yet to some he's a poor signing and waste of money, it's laughable. I'd hate to sign for us as a non blackburn fan.
  6. Our fanbase isn't half weird. Brereton was wrote off and sold for scrap not long ago.
  7. Exactly what was expected against Millwall to be honest, bit would have been nice to see a better performance. Alas, we're 6th and we'd have taken that at this stage. The league is as wide open as ever. Dingle pal saying its the worst they've played this season today, will be interesting to see if we do any better at Cardiff....
  8. I doubt it. Looks like a few showers today but sunny from 2pm onwards. That said, I thought the last Millwall home game wouldn't get postponed too and look what happened 😳
  9. I was reading the owner wanted certain players to play tonight but Arvaledze refused and consequently got fired. Why else would they have not done it during the international break? If those players have ended up playing then they ain't doing such a good job here....
  10. Seems like absolutely frigging ages since we played, I've never looked forward to playing Millwall so much in my life! Under TM we seemed to have a dreadful record following the international breaks, I do wonder what he had them doing though, I'd like to think JDT is a bit more imaginative. Highly doubt we're in for a spectacle I'm afraid. Dingle fan was telling me how they just turned up to defend and frustrate there, which we already would expect tbh. The key is quite simply to score first here, I mean we're not great when we concede first anyway this season but against a team like Millwall it's imperative. 2-0 home win Diaz penalty on 16 minutes and Dolan 78.
  11. Annoying but half expected I guess... It's hard to understand how the same team goes from the midweek performance to yesterday's in a matter of days, against (on paper anyway) a much weaker team. It's pretty much what every team in the division seems to be doing at present though apart from Sheff Utd. I think we're gonna have a few more months of it too I'm afraid till it settles down! Only positive I can take really is I had to turn down the offer of a ticket so didn't have to endure the journey home.
  12. 1 nil away win leading to the usual frustration on the international break as we appear to pick some momentum up. I'm sure we're always shite the game after the internationals too 😪
  13. Difficult to pick faults in that performance, superb all over the park. Now let's have a bit more consistency! You do have to wonder though if some results would have been more positive with the likes of Ayala and Wharton playing. Pickering looks much more confident knowing he's got a bit of backup as well. It's definitely the formation we should adopt at weekend, bastard injuries permitting!
  14. Obviously playing on the counter. The 3 centre halves should offer more cover for the weaker positions (imo) at left and right WB. It could work, see how we get on first half. As a side note he doesn't seem to rate Markanday does he?
  15. Baffles me the negativity from some fans of ours it really does. Yes it'll be a tricky game but to just write it off as a loss is bonkers. Watford haven't won a game away all season for crying out loud and that includes games against Rotherham, Birmingham, Preston. Are we really much worse than those?!? 1-1 draw.
  16. I don't see the point in calling the games off either to be honest. Fans would gather and pay respects at stadiums nationwide like West Ham and I'm assuming others did last night. Football fans aren't going to go lighting candles and signing books of condolences instead if their games off. Doesn't really affect us but some will have hotels and travel paid for as well, in times of hardship would Liz really wanted people to lose money?
  17. Not even sure he knows the full details, he brushes away questions about injuries and leaves it up to the medical professionals. Obviously he gets updates on timescales from them though. We can't play Travis there against Wigan though it would be suicidal just having Morton and Wharton against the likes of McClean. I'd like to think he's learnt that from the last game. I think Mola will be given a debut and Carter at right back. Not ideal but it is what it is.
  18. There's numerous boozers in the centre around King Street, don't go near the ground Mortys, Harrys Bar, Tap n Barrel
  19. Yep. Apart from when we play Burnley and more people cram in the end towards the Darwen end so they can shout and point aggressively at that lot from down the road.
  20. I'd pay anything up to £35 personally, but everyone's different. Given the prices I've paid at away games so far this season Wigan isn't particularly expensive. The problem is other factors are kicking in for this one. We played pretty gash Saturday just gone, if we'd won 4-0 I'm willing to bet we'd have shifted up to another 1k tickets. People are willing to pay a bit more if we're likely to win. There's no novelty whatsoever to going to Wigan either, I'm sure everyone's been there numerous times in recent years, in contrast to Burnley for example who I guess were playing them for the first time in a while. On a flip side i know some people who are trying to get a few away games in with one eye on Burnley tickets so that may play a part. I'm not going but it's purely because my other half is working and I'm not palming my kids off to grandma for the day when I've been most games this season anyway!
  21. We've been in the same stand before? It never kicked off big style though really. The segregating door got booted through one year but even then it was just booze getting thrown at each other, much like at Blackpool last week. You don't really see widespread disorder in football grounds these days, just a lot of shouting and gesticulating. But yes you're right it would probably just be easier to give us the whole stand.
  22. Burnley result aside they're having a good start to the season, coupled with us being poor yesterday and our awful record at Wigan it's hard to see a positive result I'm afraid. Suspect our away following will have taken a hit because of yesterday too.... We've got to draw one at some point so I'll go for a 1-1 in the interest of positivity.
  23. You're not often right, but bravo on this occasion 🤣 Stanley have Bowland Brewery, as did burnley last year. Not sure about them this season, probably just sisters love gush on tap.
  24. In fairness if you're drinking dark fruits you probably do sit down wees. No on a serious note though, hospitality on any level is absolutely fucked. There's no way on planet earth that these energy price rises cannot be passed off without price increases on drinks, food, the lot. If it wasn't for Rovers I'd genuinely consider feckimg off elsewhere
  25. I'm afraid you're a bit puddled then, it's well known that's why they signed him
