  1. I was gonna say the same, Neill was great. Quite frankly a dirty bastard but he got the job done. Christ we're crying out for that kinda player right now
  2. Been out with the family and had absolutely no interest today. It came as no surprise when I saw the result. We might not have the biggest crowds around but my god if fans were allowed in now that simple old clown would be getting some serious stick.
  3. Wilder seems a perfect fit for them next season, hope they don't get him mind!
  4. Yep fully agree on point number 1, shame HB wasn't brought in at the start of the season, I dare say we'd be a good few places further up the table at least. Likewise if Wharton didn't get injured too but it is what it is. HB and Lenihan actually played a part in the goal yesterday too indirectly. Hanley and Gibson clearly told to mark our centre halves given their aerial threat, which left Sorensen picking up Gallagher and he made a right hash of it.
  5. We defended pretty well for the most part yesterday? Pukki is easily one of the best strikers in the league and HB did a job on him.
  6. Tbf it was awful defending, maybe they though he was 'shit in the air' and didn't need marking. I do however agree with your point, even Coyle got a tune out of Gallagher as a striker. I can't for the life of me understand why Mowbray is shit scared of playing his 2 biggest signings as strikers?
  7. JRC is a much better player than Nyambe, I'd love both to stay though given neither player is made of steel. I think JRC will stay and Ryan will seek pastures new though.
  8. In a dream world 🤣 he will be a prem player sooner or later
  9. Listen I'm not saying for one minute the front 3 were world beaters OR the future of the club. I'm saying its either coincidence or Armstrong and perhaps his greedy style, possibly a desire to play elsewhere, is having a negative impact.
  10. Starting to think Armstrong might be a bit of a bad apple 😕 Certainly wasn't missed today again and whilst we weren't as amazing as some have made out, we were certainly better against the best team in the league than against an awful Bristol team. HB was far better than Lenihan IMO, although Lenihan played ok defensively his passing (long balls to Dolan) was awful. Todd Cantwell is still an absolute nob on another note.
  11. Anyone who like a flutter, Norwich win, BTTS no is cracking odds at 13/8. We don't score, they don't concede, fill your boots.
  12. This has got to be a record level of low interest in a game the day before 🤨 They've won 3 on the trot away from home, scoring 3 in all of those games too. In short we're gonna have to score a few at least to get anything from the game. Quite how we can manage that without Armstrong and Dack I'm not so sure. A few players need to stand up and be counted now and get us over the line to safety.
  13. I'll start it with nonsense if it makes you feel better sweetheart, because that's what it is. That horrific injury that occurred last night could have happened last week, next week, 3 months, 6 months time absolutely irrespective of how many games he'd played in a week. If he'd started a player recovering from a hamstring injury despite him having tight hammys pre match then fine, he's definitely played a part but it's nothing like that is it? Not gonna sit here all day bickering about it anyway, if you want to blame Mowbray then fine, your mind is made up. Mowbray out.
  14. Bollocks. I didn't see people crying for Dack to be rested last night pre match. Nobody knows better how they feel than the player himself, Bradley Dack would not have jeopardised the rest of the season and most of next if he didn't feel ready to play. He got through pretty much another full game and looked more than ready to play on. Listen I want Mowbray out as much as the next man, but to try and blame him for a freak injury is nothing short of stupid desperation.
  15. I didn't realise how many experts in strength and conditioning we had on here Jesus wept. Some people are making out he only returned to training last week! He was back training in like what September or October time last year wasn't he? Albeit not full training whenever he returned. He didn't exactly look like he was running through the pain barrier to try and nick the ball off Raya did he? His fitness was evidently starting to return as a result of more match involvement. Its pretty clear we were cautious on his return, I would say he hasn't been rushed back at all. It's just horrible fucking luck and devastating for the lad.
  16. Its sad people feel this way. Personally I'll be back on Ewood but I would say I'm becoming disinterested in football in general (in its current state). Obviously having no fans present has been necessary but its just not cutting it for me anymore, I watch so many games and can count on hand the number of games I would class as a good watch. They're all so flat and it's a chore now even tuning in. Arsenal v Spurs this weekend is usually an entertaining feisty affair, this one will no doubt be garbage. Can't wait to draw a like under this season now and pray we're allowed back ALL next season. Football at the moment is essentially a bath with clothes on, a tug with a Johnny on, a kebab without the meat and a hug from a prostitute.
  17. Not even arsed about the result, the garbage performance or the pillock of a ref tbh, Dackys injury is utterly tragic if its as bad as initial fears suggest so the rest pales into insignificance.
  18. Have to admit I enjoyed that. Buckley very impressive which is good to see (yet slightly surprising if I'm honest). Trybull played well again, I hope it was just a bit of cramp near the end. Dacky promising again and it adds further weight behind the argument of him and Armstrong not playing in the same team. Where do we go from here though? I must say we look a million miles off relegation candidates which is a relief as a few weeks ago it looked nailed on. Yet we ain't making the play offs. Armstrong doesn't start for me now, it's likely he won't be here next season so stick with players that will apart from the positions with little in the way of alternatives.
  19. As Mr Hoochie says its not dropping anyone with no settled team. He offered more than Trav yesterday and I'm a big Trav fan.
  20. I didn't watch the game in full but going off highlights I'd play Buckley now for 5 games or so, see how he gets on with a regular start.
  21. Its an ideal/tricky job come the summer. Given all the players leaving its either looked at as a clean slate and time to bring fresh blood in OR wee with the willy you've got (favourite Souness quote) and perhaps rely on our youngsters.
  22. Some people just have a support the team/manager mentality built into them. The likes of Birdy, who's absolutely a massive fan, won't have a cross word said about them. You have to respect their opinion even though (in my opinion of course) it's narrow minded and lacks ambition. He's still riding on the crest of the promotion wave with some folk too. Would he get any of the current crop of league 1 teams promoted though? I highly doubt it.
  23. Trust me, he still has a lot of match goers backing him. I know quite a few personally and these are lads who've been all over Europe following us.
