  1. Well well well eh. I did not expect that. Like many I saw that team and thought wtf, I actually thought it was a Mowbray V sign to the fans, basically saying I'll do what I damn well want I'm the boss. I didn't watch it as it was my daughters birthday but curiosity got the better of me and was pleasantly very surprised. Its always been obvious as I alluded to pre match that Dack and Armo together doesn't work and yesterday suggests it's still the case. Bring on the divers of Swansea I guess...
  2. It'll be interesting to see what he does should Armstrong not play. It's fast becoming obvious that Armstrong and Dack don't really work in the same team. When Dack got injured there was mass concern about where the goals would come from, understandably so. Up stepped Armo who to be quite honest, prior to that wasn't talked about anywhere near as highly as he is now. Fast forward to now and we're in a similar scenario except it seems to be Dack who has looked completely out of sorts. It hasn't helped that he's been trying to regain fitness and he's clearly carrying some extra timber BUT pre injury would that even matter as much? He was just in the right places at the right time, a classic penalty area poacher. He's not currently even getting in those positions hardly and I can only attribute that to how he's being asked/told to play. Watching Everton the other night and there was a ridiculous stat that mentioned about DCL and how he hadn't scored from further out than 7 yards all season. He's having his best season playing exactly how he needs to as a poacher and the team around him compliment that. Not sure we even have the perfect Danny Graham style player to compliment Dack currently though. We could try Ben centrally but it's absolutely critical that Dack, Elliott and even Rothwell are given a license to really push forward and support. Someone else who's blatantly been missed, despite not being the first name on most people's team sheets is Johnson. Check the results since he's been out injured? Coincidence? Or is he an unsung hero that's actually pretty key.....
  3. My daughters 1st birthday on Saturday so the chances of me watching or even checking the scores are slim to none. Might watch efl on quest later on at a push. Millwall rarely lose, we lose lots, difficult to imagine anything at all here. Beaten again by a team full of average players led by a manager with a clear plan.
  4. The only slight positive in the next run of games is all those teams will attack us apart from possibly Millwall. We only look threatening on the counter and teams like Reading know that. Of course with that comes the issue that we'd need to defend to a decent standard too 😕
  5. Boss the possession, create very little, concede stupid goal. Its all too feckin familiar. Suspect we'll give it a go second half, have a few good chances, then concede again. Elliott was silly but not sure even had a man on shout and our defenders ran away from him rather than give him an outlet.
  6. It'd unbelievable. I'm starting to question if some of these people on Facebook are genuine people or just fake accounts sent by Mowbray to defend his honour. Or, we have some utterly brainwashed fans.
  7. Bad news folks, Birdie's given Mowbray the vote of confidence on Facebook now.
  8. Well Ben scored a good goal, after that its slim pickings for positives. Looking at the next 4 games we're getting 0 points. If anyone isn't worried about relegation yet you really, really should be.
  9. Far too reckless. Dolan is a young boy and they read comments on the Internet. If he played a bad pass and someone commented on it I'm not sure he could live with the guilt.
  10. I read this earlier and just thought, what a load of old waffle. The fact that he says he doesn't fear for his job sums up exactly what's wrong. Complacency is a bad thing. Its ok waffling on to your grandkids about what a famous old club Blackburn Rovers is Tony (we are), and that we were a pleasure to manage. What we want as supporters of that club is a manager with fire in his belly, kick some mop buckets about, smash some teacups, hell fire even launch the lemon drizzle cake at Elliott Bennett if that's what it takes. We want some passion, we NEED some passion, without it we're slipping out of this league AGAIN with a wimper. Not arsed what anyone says, today is definitely a season defining must win game and nothing less than 3 points will do.
  11. Has there been any update on Ayala returning? Last I saw mentioned was 'he won't be back this month'. Well its nearly the next month now so...... Reading Sharpes report he only seems to mention (another) Davenport injury for our already crippled squad.
  12. Notice how he's saying he doesn't want to become a burden on the club though? Which at present he is to be fair. Am I reading too much into it (most probably) or is he hinting he might walk.
  13. Yeah he's usually spoke by now. The usual suspects also silent on twitter.
  14. Well I've always been slightly worried about potting Mowbray because who the hell knows who they'd line up to replace him. Really is desperate times now though and I'd accept pretty much anyone! If the silly old goat starts wittering on about having more possession than them tonight I think I'll explode.
  15. So poor, so predictable. Again. The contrast in the 2 teams is frightening. Watford- bags of confidence all over the pitch, all 11 players after the ball. Us- zero confidence anywhere on the pitch including the usually calm Kaminski. Nobody particularly wants the ball. Some inexcusable defending. I know it's a young centre half pairing but you learn to play to the whistle at primary school, end of. Absolutely ripping at that its so SO poor. Its good to get a goal back and tbf we could easily get another 1 or 2. That said, Watford look like they can score with ease every time they come forward so I'd be amazed if we get anything out of it.
  16. Our form is so alarming, our performances so poor, a 10 point gap is going to be wiped out VERY soon unless something drastically changes. Obviously I didn't want Gallagher to get injured but I must admit it MAY work in our favour depending on Mowbrays solution. Is he even arsed though? Certainly doesn't seem it. Once again viewing the match doesn't promise any excitement but I'll watch it as I feel obliged to as always. The pitch is going to be a real bog, may favour us more than them though, will the likes of Joao Pedro, Sarr and Kiko Femenia really fancy a stinking night in Lancashire?
  17. Agreed. He has to reel it in a bit or his job becomes effectively redundant. He wouldn't have much to report on if Mowbrays toys went out the pram and he was banned from attending u23 and first team games and interviews were a no go either. Unfortunately he is one of few direct routes into the club, but at the end of the day you have to respect his decision not to jeopardise his career.
  18. Its hard to tell to be honest. We probably do rate our own players higher than fans of other teams do, its normal though everyone does it. When you have a manager that's asking players to do unfamiliar jobs though it has an obvious impact. You don't ask a plumber to replace your roof, much like you shouldn't play Sam Gallagher out wide. Would be interesting to see how another manager would utilise the tools in the box if it ever happened.
  19. Ashamed to say i didn't even watch it today and to be quite honest showed a limited interest in keeping tabs on the score. Even in the Kean era I didn't feel this way. At least we had the social aspect of seeing our pals then and shouting abuse at that nob. I don't know who we play next, nor do I particularly care.
  20. Well the 5 changes part was in the head, let's hope the result is although looking at that team it's highly doubtful. I'm all for young lads playing but that defence is pretty much an u23 defence against the experience of Murray and Knockaert etc and 2 of them aren't our players. This could be a long afternoon.....
  21. How can 'they' think the supporters wouldn't get wind of this and the mad panic thats obviously ensued? Its just like another "get fucked we'll do what we want". Or was Waggott simply resigned to the fact there's just no way he could put a positive spin on this so tried to push it under the carpet? Aside from the happy clappers on Facebook nobody sees this as being a potentially positive move do they? I mean how could it be? If they had exciting plans they'd be shouting from the rooftops about it. I shouldn't be up at this time on a Saturday worrying about the club, but here I am, again!
  22. Well I'll watch it purely on the basis I've decorated almost every room in my house the last few weeks, the gyms are shut and so are the pubs and it's looking set to piss down, so there's not a great deal else to do. I notice Mowbray said several players are carrying 'knocks' after the Barnsley game. The old knocks chestnut you find happen a lot when players have no interest in playing for a manager. Alas it gives him a perfect excuse to make 5 changes to the team. Its set up perfectly for us to somehow rag a win. 1-0 rovers.
  23. How the hell should we know what he's trying to do? The players don't know, the fans don't know, the press don't know 🤣 Barnsley commentary said we were lining up 442 then went on to concede they actually didn't know how we were lining up! If you look at match reports from various sources that trend continues. Baffling, pathetic, shower of shite.
