  1. I’m so glad we were more prepared for the window this time around!
  2. I’m glad we were much better prepared for this window….
  3. JDT has done tremendously so far, but he got it totally wrong today. It’s easy to over react, but it happens. Even the best managers get it wrong sometimes. It hurts to lose any match and even more so a derby, but when the dust settles we can reflect on an excellent league position with a promising young squad of homegrown talent and we can look forward to what’s to come. Chins up all!
  4. Took my 4 year old son to his first rovers match today! I’m not sure he had a clue what was going on, but it’s a match/memory I’ll always cherish! Thanks JDT and the boys!
  5. I think JDT is being very smart in the way he is rotating the team during this very busy spell. Admittedly we are benefiting from a decent run without too many injuries. Some sensible use of the U21 squad for match sharpness and resting fatigued players like Pickering. Should help prevent injuries and it seems to be working so far!
  6. Besiktas have signed Arthur Masuaku on loan from West Ham which may suggest they are out of the race to sign Styles.
  7. Waggot has obviously really sold the club during the interviews. Pathetic.
  8. I’m more angry about the inaction from the owners/board than our rather predictable collapse. We should have acted 4 or 5 games ago when we still had a decent shout of making the play offs. They predictably slept at the wheel instead. Just like they did in January when we should have used our position to strengthen or at least brought in a striker. Maybe they don’t care or have no idea about our predicament?? Either way, we’ve blown an excellent opportunity. I suppose when the chairman is your friend who you got the job for, your job ends up being pretty secure. Laughable situation.
  9. I checked the score at 17:00 thinking it was over. What a sickening goal to concede. I’m not sure how many points we’ve thrown away at the death this season but it’s happened twice in 3 games which is criminal. It doesn’t really matter though in reality as we aren’t good enough to win the playoffs…it would just lead to more heartbreak. It’s better this way.
  10. This team seem to thrive on adversity! Rothwell's departure could galvanise the team like the 7-0 defeat did! We do certainly need more players though...
  11. This couldn’t have happened in a better game. The fewer matches we have the better! See how the respond next week.
  12. I can think of few clearer examples of when a management tenure has been so stale. He needs to leave now.
  13. Mowbray clearly got it wrong with the late subs. They were attacking changes though and he had previously been criticised for being defensive in similar situations. Injuries cost us today and the lack of squad depth was apparent. We will have to remain very lucky on the injury front to have a decent season. It didn’t work out today but I enjoyed this defeat far more than many of our defeats playing aimless passing football last season.
  14. Have no idea how Mowbray plans to shoehorn all these diminutive false 9’s into the starting 11. I’m assuming we have promised game time to the parent clubs? Maybe he has a master plan or more likely there will be multiple spins of the famous tombola with limited success.
  15. Tony was well supported last season and we finished 15th. Of course he is only a symptom of a greater malaise, but this doesn’t exonerate him and I struggle to feel any sympathy. If he had integrity he should of walked at the back end of last season when it was crystal clear that the journey had entered a tailspin.
  16. I wonder if he’ll have the audacity to talk about the Journey we are on again this season? To suggest this is a anything other than a journey towards dereliction would be mad!
  17. I can safely say that this is the most disinterested I’ve ever felt during a pre-season.
  18. Team who have lost 5 in a row playing 90mins every couple of days score late equaliser against us. Speaks volumes for our fitness and game management. Together with the litany of let downs since February this would be curtains for Tony at any sensibly run club.
  19. The most demoralising aspect is that nobody is listening. This is an echo chamber. We now have a manager who's position is untenable talking about plans for next season. His talk of a journey is so far displaced from the truth he is starting to sound like comical Ali. The current plans seem to involve most of the first team squad leaving and the manager who has just presided over one of the worst runs in the clubs history staying. He claims that we play attractive football but I honestly cannot stand watching us passing it about aimlessly like we do at present and the plan seems to be that we keep pushing on with this style of play. Are we truly expected to buy into these plans?? When faced with a situation where ones feelings are completely ignored its healthiest to just disengage (although it's hard for me to imagine disengaging any further than I already have done in the last 3 months!). This is heading in a very bad direction.
  20. I just hate watching this team with 'identity'. It is almost unfathomable that a team can create so few chances from so much possession. We are completely impotent. Watching this lot pass it about aimlessly for 90 mins from empty stadia has summed up this abomination of a year.
  21. Our identity is 'easy to beat'
  22. I think performances are worse than results. We only don't lose heavily because we spend 80 mins aimlessly passing it about without any penetration whatsoever.
  23. This is not a difficult decision. There is seldom a clearer example of when a managerial change is needed. Either Waggbray hold too much say in their own employment or the owners have given up. Either way, it truly stinks! Having always respected TM, I'm majorly dissapointed by his actions. Any manager with a shred of professional integrity would walk when targets have been so spectacularly missed. When all the fans and media are no longer supporting you, it's time to go. He's Either a mercenary waiting for his pay off or a narcissist who thinks he knows better than everyone else. Disgusting situation.
  24. Very little chat on here, but then again what is there to discuss? I'm not sure there are any remaining posters that support him staying.
  25. Its interesting that teams who visit Ewood adapt their style to suit the poor pitch. Yet its our pitch that we play on every week and we have been completely unable to change and we just plough on with our passing football that leads nowhere. Every match is like groundhog day without any suggestion of a plan B. We really need a new manager now.
