  1. Reading between the lines, it appears people want Ferguson sold not because of how good he is or isn`t but because how much he cost us Open your eyes. I said to my wife yesterday that if he was at one of the big 3 clubs he would look outstanding and its only our mediocre players that he has to compensate for that are holding him back. Yeah, lets sell our best player because he cost money!
  2. Who should he be playing for? Brum are above us and when Dunn actually signed for them they were close to a European spot.
  3. Is that a fact? He dealt with the entire situation very well today in my opinion.
  4. I`ll tell you why Yorke wouldn`t have done better with that attempt that Dickov had Brownie. BECAUSE HIS LAZY ARSE WOULD NEVER HAVE GOT IN TO THAT POSITION IN THE 1ST PLACE.
  5. No you wouldn`t, you never are. As for the Rovers, I don`t actually think our defenders are bad as individuals. The problem arises when they collectively become the defence. They just seem to have trouble operating as a unit. I don`t care what Todd did under Souness. I always feel more comfortable when I see his name on the sheet. The gaffer obviously rates him and so do the fans seeing as he won player of the year. As for Todd as a person, I know he refused to be sub once upon a time but to be quite frank I don`t care and don`t forget that was under Souness`s man management style. Reid was awesome today and looks like he could become what Kieron Dyer was supposed to. We have to keep Ferguson. Those idiots who were writing him off after 5 games are really being shown up for the football folls that they are. Emerton is bubbling over with confidence and its great to see Thommo back. As for Dickov, the guy is going to be the biggest cult hero since Speedie. At the end of the game he was still running as if it were the 1st minute as Yorke stood on the half way line with his hands on his hips. We can do this. Come on you blues.
  6. It happened to my wife just 4 months ago. Her seniors were aware she and 4 others would be told to leave 5 weeks in advance. I`m suprised you find it such a shock Colin. Luckily all is well and she found a better job but I bet it happens in an office ever week up and down our wee island.
  7. Feel sorry for Tony and thank him for everything he has done but I am delighted we have a gaffer who is now proving he is capable of making the tough decisions.
  8. Opera houses have seats, theatres have seats, cinemas have seats. People sit at these venues. Why is it only the "special minority" think you should stand where there is a perfectly good seat at a football ground which is against the law and upsets YOUR OWN FANS?
  9. Hughesy lad, you have a lot to learn. Its not just Rovers that people are losing interest in, its football in general. Most of my mates are football mad down here yet when the Man. U v Arsenal game was on T.V we all missed it so we could have our own kick about. Now I know that things change but years ago nobody would have missed that game because it would have been the only live game on that week or possibly even month.
  10. I don`t know if people are attention seeking by saying Hughes should go but it really is quite ridiculous. The guy must be chomping at the bit to put his stamp on this team but has to wait until January to do it. It must be incredibly frustrating for him and will not be helped by the fans unrest on the terraces or internet messageboards. Sparky has been left with a squad by Souness that is simply not up to the job. Stick Fergie or Wenger in charge and they would struggle. If we go down it won`t be Hughes`s fault. It will be Souness`s. If and when Sparky gets new players, half the season will be over, the damage will already be done and then he will have to blend his new players in to HIS team and HIS team and may well be searching for a miracle. Hughes isn`t at fault. The fault is about 3/4 hours drive to the north east.
  11. Full of facts!!! What facts are they then? It's purely his/her opinion and it's always crap. Now that is the most factual post I`ve read this year. Scotty, I salute you.
  12. In Paul Dickov we have the hardest working forward in the game. A forwards job isn`t to be the hardest worker, its to score goals at the end of the day. I`m sure Gallagher would score more than the current forwards being used.
  13. And the thought of embarrassing crowd trouble in our own end in front of millions of viewers doesn`t concern you!?!
  14. Yeah I watch the show Bob. Only so I don`t forget to watch Mile High afterwards
  15. I`m with Bob. Memories of Windy on the right and Noel on the left. It will have to be this Douglas chap though I guess.
  16. I love watching Rooney. Its the main reason I`m watching tonights game in Azerbywhatsit. What club he plays for is of no concern to me although I do feel that with Fergie`s record of bringing youngsters through the game it can only benefit England. I don`t care what scousers think, what happens in our Wayne`s private life and I certainly don`t give a damn about his agents affairs. Just give the lad the ball.
  17. Please don`t forget Itchy. He was my favourite. Bonkers that lad.
  18. I'll take that bet herbergeewotsit Get in line Scotty
  19. I also remember the " Shearer out " campaign before Euro96. He had gone 13 games without scoring. He ended up the tournaments top scorer. The odd goal, unbelievable!
