  1. I'm pretty sure neither Hedges or Dolan could do half of this:
  2. Sorry, haven't you heard? They sold the drawing board to keep the lights on.
  3. He's about as qualified as I am for the role - although I'd be sacked in the first week because I'd ship out Hedges, Dolan, Buckley and Pears as soon as I could.
  4. Aaaaaabsolutely no way Eustace wants this job if they let him down in January. They let him down in the summer and he pulled out a miracle. He's working his socks off to manage this team - why bother if the owners are actively working against you? He'll be off to the first open Championship gig in the summer and I wouldn't blame him.
  5. I think Eustace is a fantastic Championship manager, but the squad has run out of steam. As it did under JDT. Everyone else is reinforcing in January and we've gone backwards. We've had a terrible December and January (due to no fault of the players / manager) and we have another busy period coming up at the start of February. That's too many games and too many points bled away. Our best player is out for 6 weeks, Travis won't be match fit until mid-Feb, God knows how long Brittain is out for now. It looks like Batth picked up an injury too.
  6. We had the best FB pairing in the league (assuming Brittain is out for weeks now and Beck is about to pull up injured). They put teams on the back foot. The problem, as it's always been, is that Weimann / Dolan / Hedges / ACD are crap and offer nothing - which obviously then neuters the strikers and Cantwell.
  7. Genuinely what homework was that? A sliced shot that turned into an incredible pass that faded away from the GK and landed on the head of their £7m striker 2 yards out? Freak goal.
  8. Season is over. We fucked it in Dec / Jan. No point lining up expensive loans now - just a waste of money.
  9. Yep, he's happy to be sat there and fed information by the club. Part of me doesn't blame him - it's a very cushy gig if you don't rock the boat. Obviously he's going nowhere in journalism with that attitude though, which is why he's pushing his Podcast so hard.
  10. Nixon story titled "Coventry to beat Rovers again". (no idea who) He really is a hateful man.
  11. Yes. His current club is ACTIVELY working against him right now.
  12. We're clearly operating on a L1 budget. Other teams have bloated squads. We have to offload Academy graduates / young players like O'Riordan / Markanday (who will not be on big money) to find any leeway in the wage budget. Absolutely bonkers.
  13. To be fair Mowbray spaffed money (£12m on Gallagher and Brereton Diaz), which is why I seriously dislike him. JDT and Eustace have had peanuts.
  14. Yep. Have to cancel the Duru loan now, he's going to be playing. Garrett should be in CM over Forshaw and JRC (who is also injured).
  15. "John? John? Strange, he's hung up on me. I'm sure he'll turn up for training tomorrow..."
  16. Brittain strained his hamstring - time to bring back Duru. Baptism by fire.
  17. Well considering he put Simms and Asante-Thomas to shame tonight, I think that's slightly unfair.
  18. A few of them might turn out to be good players, but yeah it's very unfair to put them on the bench in the Championship at this stage of their career.
  19. Looking at the squad (assembled for approx. £6.5m) I'm yet to be convinced we pay fees.
  20. He's a little boy playing in a man's game. He might be useful if your team is on top and he consistently receives the ball in the final third - think Burnley under Kompany - but yeah being asked to run by a man from deep is beyond him.
  21. Sorry what has he said that's wrong there? Our model is to sell players to prevent the owners having to invest any money into the club so they can hold onto it for as long as possible for reasons that absolutely nobody can fathom.
  22. Do you really think he's a lemon drizzle man? I've no doubt that he's a hard nosed bastard behind the scenes. He builds the players up - encourages them etc and doesn't slag them off in the media, but you don't get these types of performances out of players on a regular basis if they don't fear you. He's got blood from a stone this year.
  23. The doom and gloom is now - we're bleeding points against teams we could easily beat because we started the season undermanned and now everyone is injured. Think Simms cost more than our entire squad btw. To put it into perspective.
