  1. We won 2, drew 2 and lost 1 in January - that's not a bad month.
  2. We've already established that Waggot doesn't give a fuck about the fans. You're paid £100k for every home game that's on SKY (less for away games) - that's all he'll have seen when accepting SKY's offer to move the game to Monday night.
  3. Mainly because he's an exceptional athlete and he works hard... and the other options are very poor.
  4. They've spent £40m, what else did you think was going to happen? The EFL / PL need to sort out this parachute payment situation because it's made the Championship a joke competition.
  5. Genuinely, who else would JDT pick? He's bereft of forward options.
  6. His workrate is diabolical and he gets brushed off the ball far too easily. He's 21 (nearly 22!), not some 18 year old kid. He might become a L1 / L2 player, but he's not going to make it in the Championship.
  7. I've got about a 5 year gap in my Rovers knowledge, around about the time of the year of the four managers. There's loads of "wait, who's that? He played for us?" when watching us on SKY etc.
  8. To be fair in January we won two, drew two and lost one - so our form is decent. This isn't a Mowbray death spiral.
  9. With Gallagher or Vale leading the line it's unlikely.
  10. I'd just play him ahead of Hedges, who has no end product despite being one of our best footballers. If I was brave I'd play him ahead of Brereton-Diaz, who hasn't scored for 11 games.
  11. I want him to be involved with updating the processes so they're idiot proof. Ideally I'd like to see the Club Secretary removed from his role too, but again that's beyond his power to control.
  12. Even if his all round play is poor his set pieces are fantastic. Our set pieces have been mediocre all year. He's also fallen out of favour at Huddersfield and clearly nobody has put an arm round his shoulders - he was one of their best players last season.
  13. I don't think you understand what that term means. This basic administrative error (which apparently has happened multiple times before - someone mentioned DJ Campbell specifically) is a symptom of a larger issue. This is a terribly run club and it's clear for all to see.
  14. And if that gamble fails? Considering automatic promotion is now beyond us and the Playoffs are a crapshoot at best it seems highly likely we'd just be adding to our debts. I think JDT has massively overachieved with this squad. I was excited to see what his team would look like after a few transfer windows, but I suspect this is his last one with us. I'd have been happy with a short-term gamble on a good PL (or European top league) loanee ST to 'chance our arm' in the Playoff race, but Broughton failed to deliver.
  15. If I'm being pedantic the squad now is stronger than it was in December - Thomas is a huge upgrade - but it's not enough.
  16. My point is that we've been a laughing stock / basket case club for more than a decade. This particular incident is just par for the course if you're paying any sort of attention.
  17. So you want him to publicly commit to seeking out and replacing those responsible for this error (it can only be one of the aforementioned two people) and then go behind their back to the owners to make it happen? That's simply not realistic. At best the Club Secretary will be quietly replaced / sidelined (if he has any sway in the building) as someone more competent is brought in to handle the administration of the club.
  18. To quote the great Diaz after he choked out McGregor: "I'm not surprised, mofos". If you've been paying any sort of attention you can see that it's a horribly run club - I've come to expect this level of incompetence... but then I've always been more perceptive than most.
  19. Nobody that sits around me (or rather noone around me that engages in conversation!) thinks we're a well run club - far from it.
  20. Broughton has just said that it wasn't O'Brien's full wages, or anything close. I doubt there was a loan fee too on top of the '£10m on promotion clause'. That said, no I don't think it was a wise way to spend our budget - but JDT has clearly told him that he doesn't think A. Wharton and Garrett are up to the week-to-week rigours of a Championship season just yet or he'd clearly be playing them. Like Thomas, he's much better than what we've currently got so I understand why the offer was made, but personally I would have moved heaven and earth for a striker that's going to score you 10 goals between now and the end of the season as that's our glaring weakness and where you'd get the most bang for your buck.
  21. No, that suggests that we were spending well beyond our means and it wasn't sustainable.
  22. Then most fans you speak to are fools. This hasn't been a well run club since Williams left.
  23. The year of four managers should have highlighted for even the blind that it was a shitshow at Ewood.
