  1. We were good today - if Szmodics had been more clinical we might have won it too. A very good, and unexpected, point.
  2. He probably would have actually trapped the ball though.
  3. We're going to have to scratch and claw our way over the line - although if we play like that for the rest of the season we'll be fine. Let's hope that 6-0 battering has knocked the stuffing out of Sheff Weds.
  4. You have to commit to a £15k+ a week extension of his contract before you can sell him.
  5. He's a good footballer, he's just an awful athlete - he gets rinsed by anyone with pace.
  6. We're dodgy at set pieces again without that third CB on the pitch.
  7. Eustace is definitely managing Buckley's minutes - he must be tired to be taken off on 70 minutes.
  8. Their #16 kicking everyone without a yellow card. We clearly ruined the childhoods of this generation of referees.
  9. I'm starting to think he has ADHD. He looks really good and composed at times, then 2 minutes later he dallies and gets caught in possession.
  10. Same bloke has just cleaned out Hyam and didn't get a second yellow. I wish we got the same benefit of the doubt.
  11. He lashed out at Wharton (after fouling him, mind). It's a red card all day in the modern game.
  12. Punch thrown by Boro player - if he's not sent off then this ref is a bell-end.
  13. Szmodics should have dived there like Hardie did last week - red card.
  14. I do feel sorry for Gallagher - any time he throws his weight around players fall over and a foul is given. He's just bigger and stronger than them imo.
  15. We needed a ST, not an average Championship CM. The embarrassment still stings though. That's when the mask slipped for Waggot and co with their deliberate sabotage.
  16. Your edit references the 'inept' McFadzean. I always find it amazing that we can watch the same game and come up with polar opposite conclusions.
  17. I don't recall anyone saying "anyone is better than the Walker Trust" - it was more that they CLEARLY didn't want us in their portfolio as we were costing them money.
  18. Who has to see the books in a sale? Just the buyer's legal / finance team, right? What are the legalities here? Hypothetically speaking - if they did sell it to someone (dreamland being a local business owner), could they not simply come to a gentleman's agreement that whatever they find in said books isn't released to the public / government? i.e. "yes, you've used Rovers to siphon money out of the parent company with your incredibly dodgy, flat, £20m 'debt' every year, but we won't tell anyone 'cos we're desperate to buy the club and get you gone".
  19. But you'd sold the only CM at the club that could make that 'model' tick. You had to change the style of play.
  20. We lose matches from the bench. Our first XI is ok (needs far more pace and size to be considered good), but our bench is always poor. Every week the opposition uses 5 subs - we only ever dare to make 3. Klopp would struggle to do anything with this squad.
  21. I'm neither for or against Eustace (I hope he's a roaring success), but anyone would struggle to get results with this squad. The second A. Wharton was sold and not remotely replaced we were on a hiding to nothing. I suspect that was the last straw for JDT and why he bought out of his contract.
  22. Why is it pathetic and small minded? The lad has been at Rovers since he was 12 years old and is looking forward to seeing old friends on his return (his words), yet he demanded the clause in his contract that allowed him to be sold for well under his market value. Why would I cheer him? He's shafted the club that I support. He couldn't wait to leave.
