  1. Southgate would bite your hand off for one of those first three names right now.
  2. Well he's about to play against England in a few hours so he can't be that bad.
  3. I'd drive him there myself. I'd pocket some of the transfer fee as compensation though as obviously it's not going to be reinvested into the club.
  4. He thinks he's qualified. The only one to notice that A. Wharton was an exceptional talent if you ask him.
  5. He's said himself that when he was at Villa the manager told him to drift to wherever he could find space and the team would adapt around him. At City his maverick nature has been nullified by the structure.
  6. I think they bought him so nobody else could have him.
  7. Which DoF would you have appointed and how would he have significantly improved our team with a transfer budget of three jelly beans and a half eaten curly wurly?
  8. Sell three starters for £15m and try to replace them for £5m? Might as well get that L1 early bird special advert printed early.
  9. I'd be 'returning' my season ticket (if I'd bought one).
  10. Waggot getting rid of all of Broughton's people then.
  11. To be honest I'd have taken 6 more months of watching A. Wharton and then bankruptcy if it meant these awful owners fucked off for good.
  12. Must be nice to be a nothing London club and just cherry pick the best talent at 16 for free. Great system you've got set up here FA.
  13. Whenever I hear my Man U supporting mate whine about them only finishing 7th I point at what the Venkys have done to Rovers. Soon shuts him up. As for Wharton - I fear that'll be the straw that broke the camel's back for many season ticket holders. It's tragic that Crystal Palace got a 20 year old, ready made England international for £18m - a Rovers fan at that - and we only got to see him play for his club for 12 months.
  14. He's a much better midfielder than Alexander-Arnold. Gallagher is a useful utility midfielder, but honestly I'd start Wharton next to Rice. Those two with Palmer / Bellingham / Foden in front of them would terrify teams.
  15. We can't claim Branthwaite, he was shite for us.
  16. So we offered him the entire club and a key to the city and he said no.
  17. I bet Rothwell beats him easily in a footrace.
  18. Even if he was just rapid he'd be a far more useful player.
  19. I should hope so considering we got one for free and spent £500k on the other - but on the evidence we've seen that simply isn't true at the moment.
  20. Who's 'we'? Who's actually in charge of that side of things these days?
  21. Broughton was cleaning a lot of things up, but obviously that didn't suit Waggot and his shadowy puppet master - hence the admin 'error's during the two January transfer windows and then his eventual dismissal. The whole thing stinks.
  22. His biggest assets are that he brings energy and the ball seems to stick to him. His flaws are obvious, and no the money wouldn't be reinvested.
  23. Unless Coventry have absolutely pulled the plug he'd be mad to even consider that.
