  1. How can anyone argue we don't have any depth when that Second XI is almost exclusively made up of Academy players?
  2. You'd have to be absolutely minted to buy a football club. Your accountants would be doing everything they could to advise you against it.
  3. They make it up as they go along unfortunately.
  4. He'd be a bad journalist if he wasn't on here.
  5. Slovakia couldn't handle us when we upped the tempo and actually attacked.
  6. The problem with Hedges is that he has no end product. Clearly quite a tidy footballer, but never creates or scores.
  7. Yes there is - we're on our own now. Our owners haven't put any money in since November and probably won't be able to until August at the earliest. Waggott will be battening down the hatches, to hell with the squad quality. All of those transfer funds will be used to keep the lights on for as long as possible.
  8. That has to be offside - we had one ruled out for less than that this season.
  9. I think Southgate is determined to play everyone but the backup GK and Wharton.
  10. Just look at the lesser club down the M65 - it's eminently doable with a bit of backing.
  11. Once again our best CM left on the bench.
  12. Make handball an in-direct free kick (unless it's obvious they've deliberately handled the ball). Removes the biggest problem - basically free goals for a player getting hit on the hand from 2 yards away.
  13. As I've said - drop Kane, play Bellingham up front and Foden off him. Play Palmer / Gordon on the left. As for Rice, he's clearly a fantastic player and cleans up A LOT in defence, but no he's not a creative player. Again I wouldn't be surprised if Arsenal put in a cheeky bid for him after the summer, with Rice singing his praises. He's the perfect foil.
  14. Or perhaps they should employ professionals to run the club competently. Fans would be willing to put their hands in their pockets and support the club in numbers if we simply looked like we had a coherent plan. Handing out contracts to a 37 year old Downing (who hadn't had a pre-season and looked sluggish the previous year) or a crocked Fleck reeks of panic. Letting Brereton, Lenihan, Rothwell et al leave for nothing then lamenting that there's a hole in the budget is comical. That's not even mentioning them repeatedly dragging our name through the mud with the O'Brien, Brierly and McGuire transfer debacles (and the many like Caulker which are usually swept under the rug). This is not a club to be proud of and hasn't been for 14 years.
