I'd never heard of Montgomery until he ran out at RB for us. He wasn't highly touted at all. Markanday would be a waste of a wage - we should have sold him in January, he's not physical enough for this level. I think the bit at the end in bold is the problem when fantasy squad building. I watched a game or two of his when he was at Bristol Rovers - he was tidy on the ball and tenacious in the tackle, which is what he's always looked like when he's run out for us. From what I gather, the Bristol Rovers manager (I believe they were relegated and he was sacked) was instructed to play his own players over loanees - so regardless of how good or bad Garrett was, he wasn't going to get much game time. We should have asked that question before loaning him there. I can't comment on his Tranmere loan.
