  1. 4 years and we're still no closer to a resolution. No wonder India is a lawless state.
  2. If that's not a Venky's plant it's someone that needs their voting rights removed because they're too stupid for this planet.
  3. Are you not even slightly concerned that the manager we ran off had those journeymen loanees and Academy graduates in 5th for most of the year and the new bloke has them looking like a bunch of strangers?
  4. Their owners aren't actually that wealthy - they're certainly not billionaires. They've done the whole thing on finance.
  5. They're never getting their money back (if it even is their money).
  6. From 'significant January investment' to 'summer rebuild' in 4 matches. Ismael's career at Rovers is going at warp speed.
  7. Do we have a Director of Football?
  8. We should be so lucky. The authorities quickly step in when players aren't paid. Seriously doubt we've got to that stage... yet.
  9. Is that the Issa brothers? Aren't they both a bit shady (and apparently Manchester United fans)?
  10. What growth potential do Oxford or Luton have? ALK Capital, the company (investment group) that own Burnley, only have a net worth of £190m. Yes Pace runs that show on smoke and mirrors and it's a house of cards waiting to fall down, but it shows that you don't have to be a billionaire to make an impact. We just want honest, committed owners who employ the best people they can to run our club. By all accounts there have been multiple interested parties over the years, but the Venky's won't even entertain offers.
  11. Are you willing to get thrown in an India jail for disrupting an IPL / Indian international match? I know I'm certainly not.
  12. Many will. I'm one of three who won't be going next season. A few round me won't be returning next season either (they were distraught at losing to Cardiff, and these people have endured Celtic and City fans in the stand around them).
  13. The problem you have, which has been highlighted before, is that we've tried protesting. We got minimal support from Parliament, we were lambasted as racists by the rest of the football community and the press. We've also tried fan delegations going over to speak to the owners and building up a rapport. Nothing has worked. We're in a unique situation - no pressure the fans can put on the club will have an impact. For whatever reason the owners do not give a shit about the club, but also don't seem to give much of a shit about throwing away millions of pounds on it either. Every other club people could mention the owners didn't want the public embarrassment / financial worry of owning a failing enterprise and were convinced to walk away. This lot seem impervious. People talk about not renewing etc - we're down to 4k adult season ticket holders and home crowds of 12-13k. Most people have already walked away in disgust. Sure we can chip away again and lose another 1k or so, but they'll just close the Academy and let us limp on in to League 2 and beyond.
  14. I think there'll quickly be a groundswell of support for protests if the results on the pitch continue like they are. JDT and Eustace were papering over the cracks and letting Waggot and co have an easy ride. It looks like their gamble with this French lad hasn't paid off and they're in for a world of pain. It's actually very amusing because I think they thought they'd played a blinder - £750k compensation money for Eustace, Ismael in on a 3.5 year career to assuage any fears about no 'long-term' planning and a pathetic 'allez le bleu' marketing campaign.
  15. As I said, you couldn't pay me to watch either of them. I quickly changed the channel. I have zero interest in either club - there's nothing about either.
  16. What's unfair about it? They're two incredibly unfashionable clubs.
  17. I was driving somewhere yesterday and the BBC Radio 5 Live commentary was Bournemouth v Brentford. You literally couldn't pay me to watch that. Two absolutely non-entities, yet they're both in the Prem because they have good owners.
  18. Travis couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag, so the fan was in absolutely no danger of that happening.
  19. They call Football Manager (the video game) Moral Manager for a reason. Your season can quickly go to pot if you upset the players - and likewise if you keep the same players happy they can overperform their stats. I think we're seeing that here in real life - a group of limited players who were playing out of their skins suddenly downing tools because the manager they really liked walked. Why would they continue to bust a gut when their contracts are up in the air and you've foisted a disciplinarian on them? When you factor in that we didn't bring anyone in to help them in January too. Yeah this car crash was on the cards.
  20. He looks like a child out of the crowd - he's unbelievably small and slow.
  21. I follow him on twitter for the chuckles, he's never had a penny off me.
  22. Fair. I'd have dropped him after that pass at Stoke to be honest - these players have such an easy ride, there are simply no consequences for bad performances.
  23. Luckily I won't be paying attention next season. There was a really good post on the Cardiff thread about how this shit has been going on for 15 years. It's absolutely criminal. Enough is enough - I can't dedicate any more energy to it.
