Were you in the stadium today? There was standing water on the pitch in the warm up, it had rained for hours and the forecast was that it was only going to get worse.

I'm genuinely flabbergasted that people think Ohashi should start games when you have other options on the bench. He works hard, but he just gets bullied each and every week - you saw in 10 minutes how much more Gudjohnsen added to the attack. As for the pen - soft, but they've been given against us a few times this year so I'm not going to shed a tear.

I reckon that game against PNE was worse conditions - granted we did a lot of damage to the pitch playing on in that weather.

Isn't it a local authority issue, rather than a Rovers issue? The River Darwen needs investment to handle the drainage of the local area (lots of new houses since 1994 - lots of water that goes straight from the sky to the river over tarmac and in drains] rather than into the water table).

I think he's a PL talent, but his development has been blighted by injuries. What a crock.

Gudjohnsen for Ohashi is the easy change, but they seem hesitant to bench Ohashi for some reason.

Or you're trying to keep Miller happy. Big (for us) summer signing, an Australian international, and he's relegated to the bench for the first 6 weeks because Alebiosu has been a revelation.

He wasn't singled out or doubled up on at Rovers - any good Championship FB had him in their back pocket. For his sake I'm glad he's started well, but it does make me question the quality of that league.

However we've improved tremendously between the sticks so it'll probably roughly even out. I also think Hyam's best ability was availability (50 consecutive starts is a heck of an effort). He was a mid-table CB - too soft and quiet for mine.

I think that was down to the manager more than anything.

I take it there's some age rules attached to this fixture? Would have been a good game to get De Neve and Gueye minutes - assume you literally have to be U21?
