The football Swansea play is just suicidal. Their CBs aren't good enough to play it out from the back in the manner they want to - and even when it does work out for them they don't have the CMs to capitalize on it. They just pass themselves into trouble any time the opposition puts on a press.

Honestly I think it's just the club being open to easy PR (and still having some name recognition despite the last decade) and JDT being an interesting appointment (and apparently quite approachable). Borderline world class player during his career, involved with that excellent Danish international side as a coach and obviously won the league twice at Malmo. It's a far better story than say Appleton being appointed at Blackpool.

He was a brilliant player in his own right - he knows what it's meant to look like. Added to that he's clearly an intelligent bloke and has had a long time to learn how to manage as an understudy (after failing in his first foray into management).
