  1. I thought he was fine personally - added energy from the bench. I think that's what he's best suited for. He lacks that extra gear to really worry defenders though.
  2. I've not heard it that loud at Ewood for a while. It's amazing what a manager that genuinely engages with the fans with enthusiasm does to the atmosphere. His team are a credit to him at the moment.
  3. Cool nonchalance. Didn't walk around the edge of the pitch applauding with the players at the end - came out to the centre circle, clapped the fans then walked back in. i.e. it was just job done for him, rather than a cup final.
  4. He prowls the technical area and encourages players.
  5. He's genuinely a much better CB than LB. He's just too slow to play on the flank, but his defensive instincts work well at CB (not that I'm advocating he plays there full time).
  6. Morton on for Brittain - I assume someone cracked him during that corner? He went down holding his head as the half time whistle was blown.
  7. We've completely neutralized them and fashioned a chance that Brereton has brilliantly slotted away. Your mate needs a lesson in football.
  8. He's a knobhead if his first 25 mins is anything to go by.
  9. They've turned the tannoy down! JDT is a miracle worker.
  10. As long as it's not a 'starting' clause I have no issue with it. With 2 games a week and 5 subs it'd be very easy to get him on the pitch for enough matches to avoid any fines - and we desperately need another experienced CB.
  11. It's all the fault of the Glazers though, apparently.
  12. I wore that Utd green and gold shirt once - I'm not proud of it, but I'd forgotten my kit and they wouldn't let me train otherwise.
  13. And they score on the break with a hoof upfield to Obafemi...
  14. The football Swansea play is just suicidal. Their CBs aren't good enough to play it out from the back in the manner they want to - and even when it does work out for them they don't have the CMs to capitalize on it. They just pass themselves into trouble any time the opposition puts on a press.
  15. Honestly I think it's just the club being open to easy PR (and still having some name recognition despite the last decade) and JDT being an interesting appointment (and apparently quite approachable). Borderline world class player during his career, involved with that excellent Danish international side as a coach and obviously won the league twice at Malmo. It's a far better story than say Appleton being appointed at Blackpool.
  16. Why? They don't do anything. They let away fans walk through Rovers fans on their way back to the train station every home match.
  17. Not really - Ayala can't be risked twice a week, so whoever you bring in is going to start half the games during this hectic period.
  18. Bollocks to it - I've seen enough now (seen WBA, Burnley and Watford twice). Keep Brereton, back JDT and we're in with a shot of promotion. We shouldn't be scared of Burnley or Watford.
  19. I hope Watford sell Sarr - they've been incredibly poor since he went off against Burnley.
  20. Further strengthening those on parachute payments. It'll be the same 5-6 clubs yo-yoing every year.
  21. Hope? That's exactly what he's doing.
  22. He never broke out of a jog for that goal - awful defending. I assume it's what he's being asked to do, cos otherwise I'd haul him off.
  23. Kompany is playing Maatsen as an Inverted Full Back (like Cancelo at Man City). In the Championship. Incredibly brave.
  24. He was a brilliant player in his own right - he knows what it's meant to look like. Added to that he's clearly an intelligent bloke and has had a long time to learn how to manage as an understudy (after failing in his first foray into management). Obviously that paid off at Malmo and so far is doing so here. Early days, but it looks like we've made a sensational hire.
