Spot on editorial, Alan75
I really felt that Hughes had sorted out lack-lustre performances.
The worst thing is that Everton were able to beat us easily when we were down to 10 men at Ewood, neither could we break down Bolton in similar circumstances.
And yet we still succumb to Everton when they are down to 10 men.
Incidentally, I note that The Times are running an anti-diving campaign. I guess Moyes hadn't had time to put the poster up in the dressing room for Arteta to read .
Moyes is too busy crying about the FA and it's leniency towards other clubs, apparently. His whine about whether they'd allow him a loophole to bring in another keeper made me want to slap him - "Well maybe the FA would for other clubs, but not for Everton", or words to that effect. Twit

I'm close to thinking we should revert to the 4-5-1 until our defensive frailties are sorted out on the training ground. Right now they'd give schoolboys a bad name with the errors they're making.

Ha, Fulham put six past West Brom, the same team that handed our asses to us. Brilliant

Well I was going to come home for the re-arranged Sunderland game, but quite frankly if the team can't be bothered turning up again I can't be fcuked driving 240 miles. Absolutely pathetic performance for the second game in a row - if Hughes still takes them to Dubai after that embarrassment he will lose a lot of credibility with me.

The pros are getting shown up by a youth team player - says it all really.

Anyone know how to get the patch working, which file do I put it in?
-
Wow this Pongolle kid is special ain't he

Alright, seriously, where the ###### has the Rovers team been for the last two weeks? The defence hasn't bothered to turn up for about a month, but it seems the rest of the team has joined them on their vacation.

Bring on Kuqi for Pongolle - they're both woeful in front of goal but at least Shefki provides a physical presence, which is what you need when they have nine men behind the ball.
-
Everton are disgusting, prancing faries when in possession and Chopper wannabes when defending.

We're absolute @#/? at the back and Friedel has saved nothing - beaten three times already.
-
-
Somebody please kick Cahill into the stands - he's their version of Pedersen i.e pretty average but pops up with crucial goals.
-
We've dominated, but they should be two up
Their keeper just got sent off though

Crap that's a lot of bugs, no wonder the game is @#/? without the patch!

We're out of the youth cup because we weren't good enough on the night Philipl. As for the comments on Gary Bowyers tactics on the night being one of the reasons for the team losing the game, I think they're valid.
As for the worth of the academy, it's been debated before, but I do think you've given a biased summary of the upsides/downsides. For the past few seasons all the academy has done is produce good, cheap young players for the lower league teams.
Can our academy produce enough youngsters of prem quality? No-one knows that.
We're the new Man Utd in that respect!
In fairness to the Academy though, Peter looks like a player, as did Gallagher and McEverley (sp?) before hitting a rough patch of form.

Just borrowed the disc off my housemate - it's much, much harder than the last edition. It's taken me twenty games to find a tactic that works for Bury (started off unemployed), which is an obscene amount of time. The AI is also highly questionable this time around, it seems to screw you over all the time - ridiculous late goals, crazy passbacks etc etc
-
I'm sure there was paper talk about a possible transfer away from the club in January, which Williams/Hughes replied to by stating they were in contract talks.

I hope he does well there, he certainly has a bright future at Ewood if developed correctly - which I'm sure, under Hughes, is what will happen.
