  1. It's a shame we've not got a fee for him. For mine he's a very limited defender - in a vacuum it's not a bad loss. Obviously it depends on whether we replace him.
  2. I'd prefer Wilcox if we're going down that route - at least he has experience in the role.
  3. I don't really care about the Blackburn connection. He's on my radar because he's done an excellent job at Wycombe - to get them into the Championship is an incredible feat.
  4. Sadly they're on the same level as us - that's how far the Venkys have dragged us down.
  5. This is a collapse for the ages. Clearly the change of captain hasn't changed their mentality.
  6. Strange they've announced Parkinson as the replacement player when he's sat in Manchester. I don't even know if he'll get to the ground today - it's a 3-4 hour car journey.
  7. Baffling move. Maybe he's had a taste of being the main man and doesn't fancy it. It's a backwards step, career wise.
  8. Honestly, nobody knows. It's been radio silence besides the Portuguese bloke heading to UAE - just the board whipping itself into a frenzy, as per.
  9. Let him continue to be so - as the Chief Cone Officer. Just don't restrict the new Manager from bringing in his own staff. It's really not that hard.
  10. Especially considering that one promotion to the PL would wipe out all of the debt they've built up. It's maddening.
  11. That's unfair on Ainsworth to lump him in with Ferguson and Unsworth - he's at least achieved something in management.
  12. I have similar managerial experience to Ferguson, but I'm just too busy to take the role.
  13. It's getting on 4 weeks since Mowbray left his post - and we knew well in advance that he was leaving. How are they possibly planning more interviews?!
  14. It's the hope that kills you. We had the opportunity to emerge from these mediocre 5 years with a dynamic experienced manager and a decent (if threadbare) young squad. Instead we're going to appoint Duncan fucking Ferguson.
  15. The Russian Premier League is ranked 10th in the UEFA co-efficient, ahead of Belgium, Turkey and all the Scandinavian leagues. I can't find a FIFA equivalent, but most sites agree that the UAE Pro League is ranked below Serie B, Ligue 2 etc. It's not really comparable.
  16. I do wonder how exhausted our Academy currently is though. We currently have Nyambe, Wharton, Lenihan, Buckley, Rankin-Costello and Travis all in the first team. It's unrealistic to expect the Academy to carry any more of the burden, at least in the short term.
  17. I just want to see progress and the team playing towards a plan.
  18. To be fair, we barely have a squad at the moment - we have two CMs on the books. Assuming he takes the job he'll have asked for backing. He can pick up players that fit his style.
  19. Unless you're called Chapman or Davenport, then he ignores you entirely. Or if you're under 25 and he dismisses you as a kid. Other than that, lovely fella.
  20. It sounds like Waggot is a box ticking exercise to comply with EFL rules.
  21. I wouldn't be paying attention to the results if Woodgate got the job.
  22. Agree to disagree. Watching games as a neutral has become more and more difficult for me. The amount of blatant time wasting and diving that goes on - obviously both contribute to that side winning - just makes me turn off. It's all about money and winning now - it should be about entertainment.
  23. Mercer must have a lot of disposable income because I've yet to see him win a bet.
  24. Cool, he should prove it at a L1 or L2 club as a 50 year old rookie manager.
