  1. They don't even bother doing the medicals at Brockhall on deadline day - it's Manchester or London. Doubt it'll be a hive of activity tomorrow.
  2. This is what any teams that loan him are in for - don't you remember the Liverpool nutters following Elliot's every touch when he was on loan here?
  3. The Danns link is predictable. It's a massive gamble and another asset that we wouldn't own after the summer. He got bullied in the Champions League (yes I know) - so he's clearly not going to walk into the side and set the Championship on fire.
  4. After 15 years of misery with these owners - yes .
  5. He's 19 years old and has barely played senior football. If he's more worried about playing at Wembley than playing first team football for 6 months then he's never going to make it.
  6. Nobody gets on Trafford's back for being a massive knobhead, so I can overlook this if he scores goals.
  7. It's become too public, too many teams are interested and they want too much. We have a L1 budget - most of the Championship would be able to gazump us for his signature if they had the space in their squad. I suspect one of them will if he's determined to stay in Europe.
  8. They had the 'thunder clap' going on in the Jack Walker Stand for the Burnley game. Was this the same guys?
  9. We need a backup LB, a backup CM, a CF and a RW (and a GK if they refuse to play Toth), but we're obviously not getting much, if any, of that.
  10. The fact they've said no to a loan move rules us out, sadly. That £3.6m will be earmarked for wages and stationery.
  11. From the highlights I've just watched of him his style of play looks like Ronaldo (the actual one, not the Portuguese lad). Obviously not that level because he's the best player I've ever seen - but that's what I'm seeing.
  12. Because Tronstad has probably been our best player this season and walks back into the team.
  13. It's a balancing act though - short of bringing in a PL quality CM they're going to be third choice (unless you want to break up Tronstad and Travis). Is O'Brien going to want to be third choice? Is that a wise use of our resources considering he's on a reported £40k a week? We've got through the back-breaking part of the season now, where you have a game every 2-3 days. There's not as much need for rotation (a lack of which broke Travis and Tronstad). We need help at RW and CF more than anything - especially if Leonard is injured.
  14. Spend a fortune every year to Boro.
  15. Don't worry, Lampard will work his magic soon enough.
  16. FFS. We needed two quick wide men to have any hope.
  17. Genuinely an awful game of football, but I'm delighted Mowbray lost.
  18. If Leonard has done his back we need another CF. Ohashi is weeks away and we don't have anyone else.
  19. Fingers crossed a patented Mowbray death spiral is incoming.
  20. We'd be foolish to pay big loan fees like that. We need assets.
  21. Probably picked the wrong one of the three from what I've briefly seen of them.
  22. Sadly I don't think he's fussed as long as he gets paid.
  23. It's funny isn't it? I've been around the world and there's very few places nicer than the Ribble Valley in my opinion.
